I work for them on a dedicated run. The miles are pretty decent. Just like any other company, January and febuary are pretty slow months. I average about 2300 miles a week and im happy with that. I go to the same places all the time so when i get a load i dont have to do much planning. JB Hunt isn't for everyone, but if you understand that something can and will go wrong each day you'll be ok. I have a great dispatcher and fleet manager so it makes it that much easier for me. They get me home when I want to take my home time. What makes it easier for me is that I look at it this way, If I dont do it than someone else will. Why let that other person take money that I could of made.

I have looked at many companies in the last month, and have checked out alot of these forums on different companies, Can anybody really say that one is better than the other? I thought about just getting out of the trucking business all together, but with the economy the way it is, there is just nothing out there, especially in this once great state of michigan. So I have decided to maybe take a chance on yet another company, just maybe to let my hopes down again. I have been with CRST(team driving sucks!)---Been with a small family owned company-(no hometime or miles-great for a bumm off the street with nobody or no family). So call me stupid but I just want to make an honest living for my family and maybe see them more than once a month.

now as far as ur husband he is pretty much a local driver so there for that dosent mean much to us drivers that make our money based on miles so his situation in no way compares when he punching a clock. and all the drivers that complain regarding jb at some point it goes past just an unhappy driver when there are this many complaints about a company at some point you have to stop and realize that iy must be something wrong within that company so if ur not out here kissing ##### doing favors then u are pretty much screwed :biggrin_25516:

I was a manager at JB for some years. I can tell all of you a bunch of inside politics and scams they pull on drivers and managers. One word to the wise...do not go for their truck purchase program, you will go under and need to return the used vehicle to JB. Thus giving them another truck to sucker in a driver.
