And who knows how long or how often that goes on? No wonder shippers get incredulous when one driver finally puts his foot down.
JB HUNT shady practice?

Honestly in the overall scheme of my trucking life this kinda thing would fall somewhere below whale crap as a thing for me to worry about. Good hell. The things we find to complain about.
-
Those complaints are for good reason when it affects a driver's bottom line.dog-c and Anonymousproxy Thank this.
-
Why did you allow it to be loaded onto your truck without talking to dispatch beforehand?

-
Its good that you maintain a stress free attitude however I think I would be a little more upset if the scenario involved me doing the unloading at final stop. Personally I wouldn't tolerate it. Give them an inch and they expect a mile next time.
-
It took extra TIME at point b and c.
Time=$$
Simple. -
Oh heck yeah I sho nuff wouldn't be doin the unloading of the extra stuff but aside from that I fail to see where it negatively affects my bottom line. In fact, not bein a whineygus about that happening has got me loads that I don't think I woulda got had I bellered and griped to anyone within earshot that 'that's just wrong and I'm puttin my foot down'. I mean seriously...unless it like puts you over gross or messes up your trailer or sics the hounds on ya what's the diff? You're goin there anyway and I dunno bout you but I could use all the good karma I can get. And a favor in my pocket the next time I'm lookin for a load headin their way.
-
I guess a company driver would look at it differently...didn't think about that. Yeah that extra couple minits on each end would really kill my day.
