These companies need to make sure you qualify before you even get on a bus. Except for physical and drug test of course.. but all references, work history, military, background etc... so they don't waste our time and their's.
Had several people leave our orientation because they didn't have the necessary paperwork needed to get hired. Some just didn't have the work references.. small stuff like that.. Come on give people 30 days on the job and let them get the paperwork in order... but no... they have to send you home, more money wasted on a bus ticket and more money and time wasted on trying to comply with the rules and regs that they never told you about.

JBS doesn't use buses. Some of you don't have a clue what you talking about. Yes they are very strict on driving test. There is no money to be made by sending people home. The most craziest thing I ever heard. If I were them I definately would get the basic physical done in their own town, because lots are sent home due to high blood pressure.
I was making the same thing that current CRST students were making 14 years ago. 11cpm or 22cpm split. Are you kidding me. You would rather work for a them then JBS?? You are right it does take time to learn to back up. But if you don't have the basic mechanics down after driving school something is wrong.
Safety Guy has only been there not even 2 years. We have always had Ergo at JBS. Please Gold nugget if you don't know something. Just keep your lips zipped. -
Also they were fined big time by DOT a few years ago for incomplete paperwork. So they make sure all the I's are doted and the T's crossed because DOT can show up at anytime for an audit.
P.S. Have your stuff together and be prepared to go to work when you go hundreds of miles to interview for a job. Gee's do you have to hold everybody's hand. -

How do you say you were there and everything you say is speculation. Did you get rejected too? Just show's JBS is not a bottom feeder who hires anybody, and look at the big picture. Instead of just putting meat in the seat to go down the road and tear up equipment or kill somebody.
You say you work for Clark or know that they are a good company. Go start a thread so yo u can direct people to this great company. -

I think Jbs could give a rats ### on if ur female or not. That ergo test and what not is as easy as it gets. If you cant handle that you got problems. When I was in orientation I saw them send a guy home with 20+ years for being aggressive.
Anyways Jbs drives me nuts more often then not. Mainly my dm is lazy but I think Jbs has been the same since I've been here about 7 months. The bottom line is I make money.
On the sleep apne test I passed! Odd thing was on my results at the top my bmi was 34 and neck was like 16 inches lol. The test sucks and it's kinda uncomfortable but there's a lot worse out there then that.Jack&Jill Logistics Thanks this. -
I have only been here 2years. I was flown in. People who didn't make it thru physical was flown out. We arrived at hotel in hummer limo. What they are doing now with people who quit or tear up equipment. I have no idea. I have taken 2 drivers to hotels in the past couple of months. JBS gave them both money, and paid for their hotel. 1 was fired, and 1 was a student who didn't pass the final road test after he was with his trainer. I have heard stories about people paying their own way, but from what I have seen and heard. It was a trucker stories in which my friend are king of.
If it was my company. You tear up equipment or want to leave. You better find your own way home. That's just me. Anyway. Some of us have to make money. No time for chatting. Talk to you after i knock out these 650 plus miles. -
