During orientation was told if drivers don't get lumper receipts that the bill is deducted from drivers pay....1st time I've heard this ever brought up in 11 years driving after retiring from my first career and military service.
Well, had my 1st "entrapment" experience, several attempts with both a EFS CARD and EFS CHECK, authorization numbers "wouldn't work". Dispatch said authorization went through and client would claim it did not- client made sure they delayed me until time for them to go home and returned the B.O.L. with NO RECEIPT. I've never had this happen at any other company before and something didn't seem right so I called 911 to have a lawful record of what was happening. Well, I received a email from the client showing they canceled the lumper fee and moved on.
I found out from 2 other drivers that this is common at JBS.
I also found out JBS was indicted by the United States for price fixing, investigation was done by Australian government of this Brazilian company. The United States fined JBS $300 million and apparently it's not the only nefarious activity they are known for. DRIVERS BEWARE.

300 million? Hmmm......where did you find about this investigation. My curiosity looms.........

You'll have to pardon my skepticism.

As for money being deducted from your pay if you don't have a lumper receipt, every company does that. I'm not so sure I totally buy what your saying. If the money code didn't work, all you had to do was double check and make sure they gave you the right code, or you or the company could have called EFS to see what the issue was. JBS, if it came down to it, could have canceled the current code and just issued you a new code. How many times did you try to call JBS? My curiosity looms²...........

Most likely the US Marshalls. That's usually the way these things shake out.

I would not have been happy when I got there. Civil issue complaints are a front counter cadet report.

Yes and yes. I was not letting $400 come out of my pay for someone else to pocket in a scam. I received a copy of the report and an email from the client showing they voluntarily canceled the lumper fee.

Dealing with what at the time had all the earmarks of a scam in progress was not a civil matter but a criminal one.
