For those of you looking for a ride but not being chosen by JCT, it has been ALL over the Sirius sat radio that ROEHL is hiring. They state that they are looking for all levels of experience, and if you don't have a CDL, they will train you. So, instead of bashing JCT for not hiring you, or giving you a reason as to why they did not hire you, try the following THIS IS NOT THE JOB SECTION and start bashing them if they turn you down......
Or, maybe you can get a ride with them. Anyway, best of luck. Not all of us can drive for the BEST company out here!

I don't know where you are getting your legal advise, but they are dead wrong. A company DOES NOT have to give a reason for not hiring anyone. If you feel you have been discrimanated against for, race, age, or religion, then it is up to you to bring action against them. You had better to be able to prove it. I have not met an attorney yet that will take a "Civil Rights" case without a pretty good up front payment. These are the hardest and most lenghty cases to argue.
And if you are reffering to JCT as a training company, you are dead wrong again.
In one of the many businesses that I have owned, I turned down a young man for employment, just because I didn't like the way he combed his hair. He said he had an attorney and was going to sue me......I am still waiting. 4 years now. You don't want to argue this with me, I am well versed in Federal labor laws.RandolfB, Alanp613, Jarbo and 1 other person Thank this. -

Then I do not need to point out to an OLD LEGAL GOAT like yourself, THE LAWS CHANGE! Your Fired! Go back to the unemployment line...you are illegal in all 48 states.

Civil Rights are not Employment Laws. Where-ever did you come up with that one....from your great-great-granpappies lap????
One does not need to own a business, to know what the laws are pertaining to business operations. One also doesn't need to list a business on an employment application to submit an application in any industry, to obtain work. Doing so, is a courtesy...One your own lawyer has already pointed out to you. (A resume', is simply a skill history.)
Be very careful what you threaten, States in this current economy love income in any form the State can get. It won't be me, you will be standing next to, in front of a Judge against, it will be the state that can yank your license to operate as a business. You have an issue with states in this economy or any economy requiring employer reporting, by the applicant, on the employer, you should have taken that up with Congress, in 1970, when you had a chance to win, otherwise take it up the current States Attorney General's Offices, under "today's" Congressionally approved laws. I can guarantee, you will get laughed at. The Transportation Industry is not as unregulated as people want others to believe. Go buy an Osha handbook. Better yet, go to the library. You might learn something when you open a book. We all do.
Business's Owners like yourself, want to use the law to your sole benefit, (such as blacklisting individuals on DAC reports, falsification of MVR incidents, ect., which are NOT protected by Fair Credit Reporting Laws, but are subject to every law pertaining to each and every one of the reportings,) and do nothing but stomp your feet, scream at the top of your lungs, throw things, and make litigatable threats in full blown 2 yr old temper tantrums, when the law slams you back, along with actual reality, by telling you "No". Child, I am not your mother, I don't have to put up with you, and your nanna failed to beat you enough growing up.
I on the other hand, never made a threat. I simply pointed out what was required by Federal Law, not just state law, in 2 states, not just the 1 your Business is located as primary state of operations in, that require the information requested. I was being nice.
You proclaim to have owned multiple business's....I won't point out the obvious failure to be a success you have already proven yourself to be, irreguardless of current economic status, based soley on your own admission. This without even having to ask what made you a failure to begin with.
I on the other hand, have owned 1 business, and it was a success until the community as well as the economic base itself failed to thrive. That Does not make me a failure, nor does it make the business a failure. I also wasn't stupid enough to have to file bankruptcy, nor list any family as employees.
And as for the "young man" with his hair combed wrong... I can state with absolute positiveness that You have Never Seen Me In Person. You also failed to state, whether or not you had informed him, once faced with having to state why...of what your business wanted, as far as dress code went.
And whether or not he even returned.
Your still fired. And in today's economy, good luck getting a job. Daddy cann't hire you legally, neither can mommy. And my business isn't in Transportation, nor did I want it to be.
That Class 8, ain't nothin but an overgrown pick'm-up truck...complete with a micro apartment in the rear.
And my Family, never even tried to drive one.
I've seen million milers wipe out....
Little Princess Out. -
Wow what all expenses do you have?
-
Does Little Princess think anyone gives a #### she cant get a job with JCT. It doesn't seem like it. They told me yesterday they couldnt hire me and didnt tell me why!!! No big deal to me. I've been without a job for five and a half months and you dont see me complaining that they didnt give me a reason for not hiring me!!! I just keep my head up and keep lookin. Just because a company is hiring doesn't mean they are obligated to hire anyone. Anyways, be safe out there and keep the dirty side down.
\Alanp613 Thanks this. -
Little Princess seems to want attention. After being asked numerous times to stay on topic she continues to want to disrupt this forum and argue about why she wasn't hired.
She is like the ##### who insists on driving 55 in the left lane, you can stay behind him and blow your horn or go around him and watch him disapear in your rearview.
The best way to handle someone who's only purpose now is to get attention and be disruptive is to IGNORE HER / HIM...... Just talk around her and leave her behind. -
OK LP I guess were are all waiting for you to quote the statute or cite the case law that sets the precedent for the law stating an employer must state the reason a person was not hired for a job. This should be a federal case or statute to affect everyone in the US not just a state or local case.

Alanp613 Thanks this.
