I'm off to the Dallas truck show today, I'll stop by the JCT booth and say hi to them.
Is anyone else going to be there?
Then my "vacation" is over and I'll be on my way to Oklahoma on sunday. I'll be so happy to get back to work! -
..looks like you'll hafta spend an xtra week out to make that up grandpa!
-
Excel what's going on?? You only got 1 week to go and you fall off the radar?

lol i am still here... quite funny to me as to how I am being treated by my current company now... all of the sudden... i am getting killer runs.... like this one... drop hook both ends.... from L.A. to Atlanta... deliver it as soon as i can get there. and its considered an LTL run so I get higher mileage pay... which is 1.20 for LTL... cool part is... they had a local guy go to the 6 pickups yesterday while i was on my way in from arizona... anywho back to case in point... one week left then watch out...

ok, I'm checked in at the Days Inn. the room is not as bad as someone posted earlier. they have free wifi so i can't complain at least i can type with my whole hands and not just my thumbs.
I will keep everyone as posted as I can, but for now I've got a little paperwork to fill out and then some pokerstars to catch up on.

Okay, I have just had a moment to sit and figure some things. Best choice I made was coming to JCT. Have not regretted it since, and I plan to stay for a long, long time! Great bunch of folks, both at the yard, and on the road.
Since I started driving here, on July 10,(orientation started on July 6) I have logged 22,640 miles. In the 6 weeks, that averages to 3,773 miles per week. So, it goes to show that the miles are there for those who want them. I DO! Not everyone does, and that is their choice. Also, I have given up miles in order to repower for someone else to allow them to get home, or whatever reason they had. I have repowered 3 different loads, and lost miles on all of them. Oh well- someday I might need it, and I know someone will help me out as well. I have not been too creative with the book, and have not killed myself to get from point A to B. The current trip I am on has me going from Twin Falls, Idaho, to LaGrange, GA. 2061 miles, and I have 6 1/2 days to do it. Hmmm,,,,I wonder if the load will deliver early....!
More than half way to the 90 days for a new, or newer, truck! I like the W900, but not the fuel mileage. Also, it has the SMALL sleeper, and not a studio, so room is lacking. MPG is better than I thought. I have been tracking it every tank, and have a spreadsheet on the 'puter, and it is at 5.98 MPG for the 6 weeks out. I really thought it would be lower. I am running at about 63/64. I tried the 58-62 range, and it actually got worse mileage. Sweet spot seems to be around 1375 RPM and 63/64 MPH. Best mileage was 7.1, and worst was right out of the gate (Tulsa) with 4.9. That was with Flying J fuel from there in Tulsa, and I have not put a drop of J fuel in it since. Still don't understand the big difference in their fuel versus Petro or TA. Even Love's gave me better mileage.
Has anyone else had a bad experience with J fuel? I would like to get the .02 rebate per gallon back, but not at the expense of fuel mileage.
Keep on rollin'. we'll see ya' here or there!Baack Thanks this. -
seen some other posts on other threads also claiming lower mpg with J fuel.
when i used to be a mechanic. i could always tell the people that always use 7-11 gas. plugs looks a little rusty. meaning water in the gas. whatever chemicals J is using. they obviously aren't the quality.
