Did not mean to step on your toes. Just thought I'd try to add to the humor that I have been enjoying on this board.
You are most kind and generous. I can't wait to be on the team.

Too many post to reply to so I'll just say this. Alan is the huckleberry.
Lmao
No, he's a good guy and is telling you the truth. JCT is a great company, not perfect but #### close as far as my opinion. But the reality is that it is not for everyone. You can make good money if you manage YOURSELF. JCT will not manage you! They will help you, but you must be able to help yourself.
They have a great team in the office that is there to answer your questions and assest you. But as lord alan said, this is your business.
That's it for me I have to open my shop in the morning and will be working the closing shift as well. Again. LolRandolfB Thanks this. -

I have spent a bit of time reading 200 pages of posts.
Seems to me that JCT might be my kind of company. I think I would be a good fit for them. My only concern is that I have never pulled a reefer, dry van only. What would the transition be like. My experiences with dry van and grocery warehouses have not been bad, but have not always be seen with greatest respect either. Negative receivers, lumpers and the like. What about the stories I have read in other posts on this site. Seems like meat packing plants and some others are not so driver friendly. I see truckes queued up at the cooling warehouses in Yuma and some packing plants out west of Hereford Tx. Whats the scoop when it comes to these types of operations? What would I expect? What are maybe some tricks of the trade? How do you deal with lumpers, grocery whses, etc? Not afraid of working, just like to know what I may be considreing jumping into.
