what, pray tell, took you to Iowa Park? Could it have been CRYOVAC? I have passed the info about CRYOVAC to our JCT folks to see if we can lock them up as well. Hmmmm.....maybe a bit more home time for me?!!!

Like jarbo said if you keep ur foot out of it you should get high 6 to 7 easily. First 100000 miles usually is break in period so it shouldn't be as high til afterwards. They have cummins in them so that will help with mpg's also. As far as storage there is only 2 lil shelves in the sleeper. Not much storage space at all. I would recommend a cascadia for team or even a classic

Yup... you got it, delivered there a few times now... Laredo to Iowa Park. We've seen way too much of Laredo lately... north... must go north!:biggrin_25520:

We were just in DeSoto... and Haslet as well the past few days. I saw 3-4 JCT trucks in the past 2 days. We are currently in GA dropping and loading in Lagrange heading to Paris, TX.

I am sending your son and your family positive thoughts and prayers for the up coming surgery. What day is the surgery so we can keep the positive vibes flowing?

Thanks for the info on the ProStar. The storage space does sound like a problem though we are not pack rats in the least... and I could weed out a bit of stuff we do use all 6 shelves in the Century... so to go down to 2 would be ruff.

I need to clarify that I am not a driver. I do have my CDL permit and the plan was for me to get my CDL while we were running for CRE. I even went to school and managed to last 1.5 weeks, but did not complete it due to sickness... and other issues like we can NOT afford to keep working for CRE. Yes... the hubby is a "fleece driver".

The CRE "school" is too intensive and lacking (lacking in actual practical information) for me being just two weeks long. They start you out sleep deprived and keep you that way the first week while cramming your head with tests and info, it is really just a license mill. I have been with him out on the road... I already know what it is like! Then they show you once and throw you in the trucks... it is mostly sink or swim from that point while you get yelled at almost constantly. I am not a spring chick... :biggrin_25511:I need more time to learn these days.

So... I live OTR with the hubby and navigate, spot, can help adjust tandems, etc., help with the paperwork, provide snacks while enroute, scout out places to stop, fact finder, secretary, accountant and bookkeeper. Ah... also companion and wife :biggrin_255: This is all so that we can rebuild a "retirement nest egg" and get a small place back in Alaska (hopefully) one day. Sure wish JCT ran up there!!!:biggrin_25525:

Wow dabs sounds like you got your hands full. A lot more tasks then us. After all when we're on the highway we become professional steering wheel holders, lol. Hmm retirement in Alaska sounds fun and cold :) I agree that most of these so called CDL training schools are just license mills seeming how they still get their fed money either way. So its like why bother putting the time and effort on actually training right. But I have to admit that Stevens transport has a pretty good training program. Other than that, they're just a training company, not one where you can make a decent living and be able to retire comfortably :) anyways enough bs yall be safe on the road, seen too many crazies these past few weeks
