I must say if you read the pages in this thread you will find the answers you seek.I have been here at JCT for 4 months now.I had a few issues at first. My biggest issue was going from running 1500 miles a week to almost 4000 or more in a week.Needless to say I am firmly adjusted to this now.I LOVE this place !!!!!!!!!! I get miles miles miles.....that's not to say that every once in awhile I have a lean week or the trips don't fall just right but it always works out in the end.Every time I have had a question or concern I was able to get someone on the phone to answer my questions.I called somebody in payroll 4 time in one day within 10 to 15 minutes per call and was still treated nice. This may have something to do with my laid back attitude but I like to think that that's just how it is.I like the office environment at the terminal. You can just walk in and talk to anyone you need to.This was not the way it was at my old job you had to be buzzed in and you were quickly escorted back out once they were done with you.I am hoping to be here for a long time to come.
I read the thread often through my e-mail as I have subscribed to it (this thread). The best thing or piece of advice I can give anyone that is looking to come here is be ready to work.I have been home 1 time since I started (by choice) so I really don't know how home time works, other than when I asked I got to go.I stayed home way to long but it had been 4 months so I took a little time off.
I am currently on my way back to Pittsburgh,PA.I was there last Thursday via Willcox,AZ.I am almost there now.I have a little extra time so I am tying to fight off what I believe is the flu.So I am just taking it easy getting extra rest.Lord knows I'll need it for the next load.If you are used to having a bunch of time on a load, you can throw that out the window as well. You can do them you just have to be about riding and gliding with the driver door shut.
I recommend this company to anyone who wants to work. Also be sure not to be too hard on yourself. What I mean by this is YES you know your job.....but do allow yourself a learning curve to get used to a new system, ask questions, and most of all have a little fun.Baack, Jarbo, dabs and 1 other person Thank this. -

OMG, I am so far out in the booonies. I am glad I waited fr daylight to find this place. The place is Fewell Farms in Prosser,WA. Pickin up apples and pumpkins for FT Worth, TX and Lake City ,FL. Total 3028 Miles, and this is my second trip for this pay period. If I can get unloaded Tuesday and get a run to Cali, I will have 7600 miles for the week. Not bad.
I have noticed not in the posts, and this is my fault also for not mentioning it, every three months we get a bonus of .02 cents per mile for not crashing and not getting CAUGHT speeding. This month will be my wife's third and my FIRST. Should get around $1400.00. Just something to look forward to, so keeep it safe everyone. The Challenger and dabs Thank this. -
