trk that burned to the ground on 10/31/09 close to midnight halloween night right next to the fuel island at Loves in Kingman Arizona. not sure of the cause... both drivers made it out. and amazingly enough... reefer was still running... hooked another truck to it and continued on with the load.

    HOLY ----!!!!!! :biggrin_25524:

Was that a JCT truck? I've been to that Loves', and it is TINY with tiny little very short parking spaces! Thank goodness he wasn't sitting in a spot!

I do not think that is a JCT truck based on what the reefer looks like.

    A) Are dispatched miles figured/quoted from the actual physical address of shipper/consignee or zip code to zip code? I realize that JCT uses PCMILER shortest route miles.

(They use PCMILER short miles and enter only the city)

    B) Do contractors receive discounts off of the pump prices as well as all of the applicable fuel surcharge?

(Flying J .02 cents off cash price paid every quarter, T/A - .06 ocp taken off on settlement, Loves - .03 - ocp on settlement/ fuel surcharge is updated on mondays and applied to loads dispatched on that week)

    C) Maintenance escrow: 1: how much is put into it and how frequently is it done? 2: is the money in an interest bearing account? if so, is contractor entitled to the interest earned? 3: Who has legal ownership of the money and is it fully refundable upon proper termination of lease? Is it refundable if the lease is terminated prior to the end of the original lease term?
(Maint is .07 cpm taken out each settlement. No interest is paid. The way they run it seems like they own the money cuz u gotta get approval from breakdown b4 repairs, according to contract u get whatever is left after they apply to any repairs if u terminate lease)

    D) Is the purchase price of your tractor fully disclosed prior to lease signing. Is the price itemized with respect to downpayment, purchase price, weekly/monthly payments?
(Yes it is all itemized out with the payment schedule. Weekly payments comes out of settlement)

    E) Can all lease and rules/regulations be reviewed prior to lease signing? Can these documents be reviewed prior to orientation?
(Well they give you time to look it over b4 signing. But not take it to lawyer or something for review)

    F) No one may have an answer for this one but here goes: I live in North Carolina and from what I've been reading lately it seems as though JCT is not hiring from my state. If I agreed to use Sapulpa, Ok as my 'home' and fly via Southwest Airlines to my home in NC for hometime do you think management might reconsider hiring me. I'm otherwise mucho qualified for the assignment.
(Not really sure, u might have to chk with recruiter)

Ok hope I've answered ur questions thoroughly. Good luck :)
Man my thumbs hurt after typing all that on the blackberry lol I think I deserve lunch now lol jk

    Really? Sweet!

It was back in Jan 08 that I was there. Delivered some structural steel from Laredo about a mile away for a warehouse build that was going on.

All I remember was putting KY jelly on the truck and trailer and trying to sqeeze in nose first. My 48' flat was STILL hanging out.

    :biggrin_2559:

Did they take some of that huge amount of parking space from the McD's next door or something?
