Which trucks have the most storage space? and which have the least?
Ive driven volvos and Freightliner columbia's and centurys only. thx -
Wendy (aka Jarbo) wins the windy contests hands down!!!!!
KW W900 has NO ROOM to move, let alone store anything! My new Prostar has mor rooom in it, even if it does not have a bunch of cabinets, etc...dabs Thanks this. -
Ran into a driver recently who was doing the same thing.I may have mentioned this earlier but I will repeat it.I came from a company that only ran me about 1800 miles a week tops.I get here to JCT and my very first run was 1900 miles
!!!!! the next run wasn't much shorter at 1800
!!!! So as you can imagine it killed me, I was tired, and it was hard. Now fast forward 4 months and whether its 1000 or 2656 its no problem and if it is, I know what to do.I had a run recently from Willcox,Az to Warwick,RI and just under 4 days to get there.Did I make it? yep.Did I make it on time?#### skippy!!!!!!!!!!!
There is a post a 100 or so pages back that says if you aren't ready to work than JCT is not for you.The only things more certain are DEATH and TAXES.If you can't run or can't get used to running quick don't even bother applying cause you won't make it here. Also be a team player if someone needs a swap and you can do it just do it.I met a guy at the terminal who said he had refused a few swaps and that he was having a hard time. When I asked why he refused so many swaps he didn't really have a good reason.
My own story has lead to a couple weeks with no check. In fairness to JCT it not their fault.I messed up my back and could not even walk for like three days and it was almost a week b4 I could drive. Now what really sucks is I was on the road at the time.Nobody rides with me either. However JCT weekend and night dispatch actually had a couple of drivers stop by my truck to go and order me some food, get me some drinks, some ice for my cup,and motrin IB for the pain. So you tell me if that doesn't kick ###.
Then not even a week later my truck starts acting up
!!!!! That led to another 3 days down.
So yeah I have missed a couple checks. However if you are smart with your money (cause you will make it) you can survive the adverse conditions life throws at you without even sweating it.I think most people would not be able to handle this, but me, I am all in, because I know that I can get the miles to get right back in the game.So in other words no worries
.

I'm glad to hear you are better... those back issues can be terrible. Take care of yourself and we'll see you out on the road.

sunny duck yellow ? you won't be hard to spot. LOL -
Yea.... no sneaking up on ya AT all... LOL.
Hey... should be NP finding it at the truck stops, or rest areas... none of that... "Now where's our truck?" stuff...
I will say that we are NOT the only yellow JCT truck. Apparently there was at least one other at the yard this week maybe 2. So... watch out... a herd of duck yellow trucks could be heading your way... LOL!
Hmmm.... can one buy a duck quacking horn....? -
I have driven 2 of them on a recovery, and they were both JUNKdabs Thanks this.
