My numbers are very close to Alan's I drive a 379 and go a little faster than he does so I spend a little bit more on fuel. For the most part I run about $100-$150 less a week.
The best way to figure is take your miles,
3000 X .90 = $2700
fuel surcharge (.25 a mile this week) $750
total =$3450
truck payment $547
fixed cost. $243 ( INS ....)
fuel $1350 (6mpg x $2.77)
maint account $210 ( miles x .07)
that would leave me with $1063 for the week. If you get better mpg you will make more money. Ooops I forgot my apu #$84 a week so I would just be under a grand for the week but 3000 would be low miles for me...
Hope that helps. Just make the call we were all did the same thing your doing and if I has to do it again I would have called sooner.dabs Thanks this. -
Sorry about that last part. I was on the phone talking to my wife when I was typing that.
No I wasn't driving too. -
thanx! were u going 2 trade the pete? do u get 6 mpg? i live near b'ham,al, would it b possible 2 get by home
-
Giving the fact his trk is crapping out on him again. I think its beggin him to b traded in lol. Excelguy is from montgomery and he's ALWAYS home so i don't think it'll be impossible

I'll throw some of our figures to date into the hat:

Week 1: 1194 miles (2 trips) - net before taxes: $688.00 - pd 12/02.
Week 2: 3249 miles (2 trips) - net before taxes: $1816.00 - to be pd 12/09.
Week 3: 2746 miles (2 trips) - net before taxes: $1505.00 - to be pd 12/23.
Week 4: working on 941 miles so far, got the whole week to run!
(So at 20 days out we will have 8130 miles, this also includes a reset.)
Our truck payment "will" be $553.00.
Maintenance account .07 cpm x miles driven.
Our mpg has been averaging 6.
Fixed truck cost: $193.00.
No APU payment.
No side note.
We are continuing to be very pleased with "Big Yeller"... the International Eagle 9900ix. As I mentioned before Randy did not want a big nose, but we have thoroughly changed our minds about this "gal"
. We won't be trading her in... we will run her until she can't run.
From what the other drivers are showing and being told from other sources (accountant) we expect to average 12,000 miles a month with JCT and we are very happy with that... the more the better!
"MA... we can afford food and shoes now!"
Currently we are in WI... near Fond Du Lac heading to drop in AR. We got here early to beat the blizzard coming in. We're snuggled in... got food and good books, watching the snow fall... just missing the fireplace! Hopefully by the time we are loaded tomorrow the storm will have eased off and the roads cleared.
Hopes this helps!
