I will post pictures later of my new truck. Just 43 miles on her. Oh hell, it's just a light blue prostar. Look at someone elses picture...

Okay, I have caught some flak over my post concerning swapping out my truck, and my dealings with the shop. As I stated, I was in NO WAY bashing JCT, and am not a disgruntled driver. I am NOT going to go anywhere, and was only sharing my experience with others. I stated that I still like JCT, and do not regret making the move over here. As in any company, there are things that some folks just don't have a good experience with. Mine happened to be the shop. Hopefully, it is an isolated case, and IF there is another job performed at the shop, it goes smoothly.
Everything else is going great. Great miles, Good money......life is good. (except for being stuck in Rawlins!!! They are saying the HWY will remain closed until at least tomorrow due to the slick road conditions and high wind advisories....60 MPH gusts)dabs Thanks this. -
Hey there JCT drivers. Always looking for possible future employers. Haven't been able to read all the posts, but I would ask, how do they keep hiring people? I wouldn't think they were able to expand so much in this economy and I wouldn't think turn over would be that high if JCT is as good as everyone says it is. Just looking for some insight as to how they sustain the hiring numbers. Also what speed d they govern at and what form of log do they use. I currently drive around 63 mph to get the best economy out of the T600 I drive, typically 6.5 to 7.55 (empty) pulling a step. Thanks in advance for any info. Be safe out there. I know that storm was fun, I just got back home after out running it from Utah, although did run into some of it in Nebraska.

Come on Herky just because the roads are shutdown your not letting that stop you? Remember NO LATE LOADS!

From what I saw in the bullpen there was a dozen blue Prostars there. So how do we know which one is yours. LOL

Some of the turnover may be that JCT is not a fit for everyone, JCT is not a hand holder like many of today's drivers expect from a company. I meet drivers out here who won't even change their own wipers or headlights they go to TA or another shop. Just like any trucking company the turnover ratio is high. JCT demands perfection from it's drivers and that's hard for some to live up to. If your looking for a company who will keep you running and your willing to give 110% effort come on over. JCT is a company for truck drivers not steering wheel holders and that's not meant to be self-righteous just a fact.

Hey everyone if you haven't already wish herkyboy a HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Wouldve posted earlier but my phone decided not to get online after El Paso

Very well said vulcan. Couldn't have said it better. Our trucks are governed at 72. Also some drivers complain they aren't making money also and u ask them how fast they run they say wide open at 72. You're burning ur profits right out the pipes. Some drivers like grizzly are perfectly fine and doesn't complain one bit. But if you're gonna complain about not making money and refuse to adjust the way u drive JCT isn't for u either

Well Happy Birthday Herky. Congrats on your new truck jarbo.
