The awesome power of a wife's love

A very old man lay dying in his bed. In death's doorway, he suddenly smelled the aroma of his favorite chocolate chip cookie wafting up the stairs.

He gathered his remaining strength and lifted himself from the bed. Leaning against the wall, he slowly made his way out of the bedroom, and with even greater effort forced himself down the stairs, gripping the railing with both hands.

With labored breath, he leaned against the door frame, gazing into the kitchen. Were it not for death's agony, he would have thought himself already in heaven.

There, spread out on newspapers on the kitchen table, were literally hundreds of his favorite chocolate chip cookies.

Was it heaven? Or was it one final act of heroic love from his devoted wife, seeing to it that he left this world a happy man?

Mustering one great final effort, he threw himself toward the table. The aged and withered hand, shaking, made its way to a cookie at the edge of the table, when he was suddenly smacked with a spatula by his wife.

"Stay out of those," she said. "They're for the funeral.

Hey see what a few good minds can create!!! How can we help Alan? What would it take to get rid of the ads and popups as far as true web hosting.
There should be two sides, Potential and newer JCT drivers and LMB's clubhouse, we don't want to overwhelm potential new drivers with more complex problems that they don't need to focus on. I must admit some of that scared the hell out of me here to read and I probably bugged my referral way to much, but he did his best to help:biggrin_25514: But thats why we are the BEST!
Maybe a section on shippers and CN's and to best deal with each location, I've notice alot luv a heads up call to let them know we are in bound and they let me know load ready, roll in or the other possibility and we can plan from there! Some just are impossible! Be a great planning tool so our trucks are rolling in and out, let the others sit!
Hope everyone else that drives JCT adds some input and those that wish to someday drive with us let us know how to best help! Oh and I still keep creating new ways to challenge my DM and most departments, lol!!!
Last time on the yard my wife and I bumped into John and I was waiting for him to ask,,,, "Your still Here?" ha guess so but no he didn't!
On another note, alot of us are trying our best to get home, I'll be running for Christmas, Wife and I will go back home late Jan. and do the holiday thing! Currently we are in AZ, headed to Terrell TX, then Columbus OH, Bronz NY, and on to RI. If we can assist anyone let us know, Its a tight produce load. Best wishes for the holiday, Vette:violent1: That was for LMB, be nice to the inlaws:biggrin_2559:

You guys are rollin with the web site idea, Vette, I'm going to let the guys run with it and help as I can. The pumpkin driver is a great site, I'm sure we can do just as good!

Vette... I also believe trucks have souls and this one as latched on to us. She has won my heart!

Question: We did our first PM out on the road, TA... wrote a EFS check for it as instructioned by JCT. So, is there a certain way we need to write it on the tripak so it will come out of the maintenance fund or does it automatically get recorded as such at JCT when you get the auth. code? Thanks!

Strange day... Bad coffee day... either way too strong at TA... later on way too weak at Love, from one extreme to another. Got to pet and hold a Lesser Sulfer Crested ####atoo today.... met up with this lovely bird at a truck stop and talked with her peoples. We had one just like her 3-4 years ago... loved that little featherball more than you could imagine! Did my heart good to hold this one... was told she has never gone to anyone else other than her owner before. Then we came apon an accident 4 wheeler had just rolled... at least one person (kid) was thrown from the car... a family several had blood on them. Several people were stopping to help so we kept going... so we wouldn't block the emergency vehicles... send prayers to them, we are.

The Life of a Truck Driver...

On our way to Red Bluff, CA from San Antonio, working Christmas also... will take our down time in January in AZ. :)
