Think it was on this thread that I got help 1 time in the NJ area. Anyone know how big those stops are on the NJ TP between xts 11 & 12? Gotta find someplace to light, day after tomorrow. Got a 4 drop load, all in NJ and between xts 8 & 14. According to drvr directions, cops in all those towns will give tickets and only 1 place has OVNP. Am also, just about out of hrs and having to go day by day now. Thanks for the help.

sadly this is becomin a common occurance here, i have picked up three trailers in the last 2 weeks... 1 had a flat. 1 had a balding tire with bout 10 nubs left on it that shook my truck like it was comin apart( tire didnt get like that overnight). and the 1 i have now was so low on oil it kept shuttin itself down. i was beginnin to wonder if i was nominated gopher to take trailers to shops. LOL

Hey Lowjo welcome, My advice is to read from page 1 forward, alot of details will be found along the way on almost every question u may have about JCT.
We can also help u out with very specific questions too. I spent a year doing research on JCT online and with drivers met on the road and it helped make the transition from company driver to owner op alot easier. Truck payments vary based on age, model, ect. Its the residual value or insurable value basically. Trust me when I say that u will get more than enough miles to pay costs but u must look at everything as YOUR BUSINESS! Your first three months here are spent proving yourself to JCT and I placed that as priority one! The Lease is the Lease, it does not change driver to driver, the truck u choose at orientation is a tool, one of many you will receive to help u succeed! I hope that helps and good luck!
Panhandle flash, lowjo, fr8tshkr and 1 other person Thank this.
