The nice thing here is that you can always just walk away if it's not for you. You'll be fine.

dabs the only options to pay for your trk wash at the streaking beacon is cash, efs, or plastic. Used to where youcan charge it once a month. Ever since a handful decided to take advantage of the trailer wash charge, we now have to pay separate

Once unloaded in Laredo, head straight for the beacon and do a washout. You'll be picking up glass bottles. Trailer must be washed out and dry before you can pick up. Used to be able to guarantee that the bottles would go to the bay area, but they now go elsewhere, too. On rare occasions, things go VERY wrong in Laredo, as Jarbo got to experience. Usually we're in and out of Laredo pretty quick.

You will have to carefully run your business. For example my end net bounces since I run alot of coast to coast runs. One week is light on miles, next heavy due to the way settlement weeks run. Taxes are up to u so no withholding is done on JCT's part so that 5000+ mile week = big pay, then the next is break even. I will say this, done right u will grab $850. Hope that helps! I would also recommend u pick someone to be a referral that is willing to take the time to answer questions and help u along the way when u start out. I can honestly say that was and still is a factor in being successful here. No that is not a sales pitch, we do get a bonus for bringing a driver on board but just remember on our part it might mean answering the phone in the middle of my break (we value the sleep here), You also don't know when u might need that drivers advise before u handle things that may not be what management likes! Take care and Good Luck, Vette

Grizz is right we have a sweet deal most all the time in Larado, I will add though, follow everything he said, Blue Beacon at the Pilot for Trailer washout, if u don't have the load # yet use the last trip#, u still need authorization reason "set up for next load". Immediately set the refer to 80 to dry it out and leave the rear little door open. It must be dry and odor free and they are picky. Park at the TA, two hours free but if longer spend $20 for free parking, Burger King and some cigs ect in the store and u have it. To many trucks get hit at the Pilot and J, your pickup is across from the Pilot. :biggrin_255:
