Haha u know I value the fact that Grizz was my mentor and it helped me with alot getting started, Things u don't bother JCT about, sometimes planning/Logging, Fueling, ect Hell he has helped with alot and he answered the phone when I needed him. Great he gets $1200. He deserves it and JCT has another successful driver. And I am happy beyond belief with JCT!!!

I talked to my wife and a few other drivers out there that all thought that anyone coming on board needs a referral to get started. I think our turnover rate would be a lot lower and our safety rating a lot higher! By the way do u still have your KW, I am having some problems with the CAT and need some advice, nothing major yet but want to nip a possible problem before it gets worse. Thx:biggrin_25520:

Hey let me get with you tomorrow night or something.. It's nothing serious.. I am about out of warranty. It's burning coolant at about 2 gallons now every 5000 miles and oil pressure is running at idle at about 21 even though it's full of oil. Not sure if we should we get into the shop before warranty runs out or wait until the 600,000 maintenance.. Something is obviously wrong. But not to the point of making us late on the load. Wondering if the 600,000 head service will correct the problem. Well heading out for some rr and playtime with the wife.. Thanks, vette

As far as the low oil pressure at idle its normal. When my engine is warm at idle it drops to around 20. Going down the road around 60. Climbing a hill drops to around 50. Oil gets thinner as engine heats up therefore pressure drops.

As far as the coolant loss, are you noticing any leaks anywhere? Normally it likes to leak from that top radiator hose where the clamps are, if you notice dried red spots everywhere in your engine then most likely its one of the hoses leaking. If not you have a bigger issue of possibly a blown head or coolant going into cylinder which is really bad. I would get one of the oil analysis from one of the labs from either gulf coast filters, or ops1 uses. They do a more detailed analysis compared to the tabletop ones at like speedco. Like the other guy said. If you're planning on keeping the truck in the long run get it fixed b4 warranty out

Also the overhead just tightens the valves on top. Does not address any issues with coolant leaks or anything.

    Jarbo and Vette1967 Thank this.

Cummins ISX engine? No external leakings, sounds like a possible egr cooler. min. spec value for an isx at idle when warmed up is 15 psi. your pressure sounds normal
