I have the one made by pc-miler and it does ok for the most part but you still need to check your routing with a map no matter what.

We use the PC Miler and though it is not infallable it is better than the World Nav we used before this one.Anyone, a question...a driver recently made a comment to us saying that the new drivers don't know how to work the 5-5-6. The conversation was about sleeping, hos. Can someone explain, please?TIA,Dabs

I just use the tomtom one. I don't rely on gps on getting me places lol. I still match the macro 12 directions and map.

u should ask that get where he got his license from. The 5-5 was gone almost two to three years ago. Now its 8-2 for split sleeper

We use the GPS, the macro 12 directions, the map, the nav on his phone... and his intuition when need be... LOL. No one thing is ever 100%... although he might say his intuition is...:biggrin_25525:.

OK... Randy feels better now. He knows the 8-2 split sleeper... the 5-5-6 was throwing him... and I think he just wanted to get to bed so didn't ask the guy.

Those of you that have 9900ix internationals... do you have problems getting the right air filters for it? Both the canister and the a/c - heater I am talking about?

I have enjoyed the 5900+ posts in this thread, seems like a good place with good people working for them. I have 7 years OTR but none since 2006, and was told that I need a year of recent experience. Must be insurance nonsense, I have a perfect record and its kind of insulting that I have to go back to square one like I have never done anything. Oh well, such is the nature of things these days.

I congratulate you all for have about the only positive thread on this whole site. It just confirmed what I already knew...Trucking sucks and plenty of people are more than happy to tell you just how bad it sucks where they work or have worked. LOL

I learned early on that if a trucker is speaking he is lying or at least exaggerating. ;)
