The way I did it at Prime was just log the speed limit for the state - a few MPH for construction, those towns that it goes from say 65 down to 55 for a couple miles. Never had a problem doing it like that and never got a violation from Prime or the DOT on those many times I was inspected.

I'm governed at 62. Company I work for says I can't show more than 60 due to the variety of terrain, starting and stopping and blah blah. JCT probably has something similar. Log 1 or 2 miles below the limit and you should be all right.

I am governed at 64-65 I can legally log 62-63 MPH...a rule of thumb is if you are doing 70 MPH for 10 hrs you should be able to do 700 miles no problem, but where you are running into the speeding violations is (ask yourself) was all the states I ran atleast 70 MPH for trks???? I would guess the answer is no..not to mention if you are doing 70MPH you can only legally log between 66-68 MPH there is always a 3-4 MPH differance at all times due to terrain, traffic, road construction etc....I have never heard of anyone being able to run the speed limit at at all times, (this is IMO) I have tried to run 65 and log 65 but the most I can get is 61 or 62 and that is having my foot in it at all times....

as far as i understand it dot may let you log up to the limit but jct's policy is to only allow 65mph,and btw really sorry to hear that the pete aint gonna do it,,and as for the prostars well take home everything you dont need and try to get one already broken in (75k-100k) right now i am gettin 5.0-5.5 mpg but may have egr/dpf problem because most one year prostar drivers say/claim 6.5-8.0,,good luck

I will agree to that in a heartbeat! I don't see how you can win to be honest. My lease is several hundred less than yours per week but once I add my maintenance mileage fee then it becomes about the same. You have to pay for all your maintenance and repairs which mine is already covered. I get a fuel discount of .30 to .45 per gallon plus I get layover pay at 200 a day and also detention pay of 26 an hour. No way you can win that bet. Like I said whose month of salary are we betting? I made over 6k in the last 4 weeks.

wow i gt 5.0 with the pete at 72.as for the prostars i would think they would do better, would rather have one of the new petes but hard to get and this one got messed up by freightliner, got new clutch and trans break and transbreak already quit inside of 2 weeks as for engine i used to get 6 mpg out of it now it wont pull and gets 5.
