Welcome to jct spec ops. Advice would be, be ready to run especially the first few weeks cuz the dm for the rookies will push you to see if what you can handle. When choosing trucks don't spend all your time looking thru one truck because its a chaos out there during truck selection.

Question; I am planing to apply for JCT in January or February and I read in a post they limit you your days off you wish to take. Is this true? The reason I ask is I usually drive for two to three months at a time then take off two weeks at a time as I have a 7 hour flight home when I go home.
-
As long as you take care of the truck payments I don't see it as a problem. Call recruiting to find out
-
I usually take 6 weeks to 2 months off in July, I just mail in my truck payments

LMB whose calender are you going by? I thought each month only had 4 weeks in it? I'm joking I hope you know that, We know what you mean, I have learned so much from you guys who post regularly here, Those that complain complain anywhere they go, So it is expected of them, I keep looking for someone from here out there in JCT lands but I don't ever get a chance to say hi, Either their curtains are closed or it is some odd hour after mid night when I see someone that I hate to bother them, I'm seriously thinking about checking with JCT after I get my experience in, I'm currently with Watkins and Shepard and am loving it, I can't find one bad thing about the company other then the starting CPM but that is the way it is for rookies like me. Get well and then get back out here. Take Care TD24

Thanks for the info. I am currently with Con-Way. They are a good company. I just prefer doing the lease and owner op thing as I have done most of my 26 years or driving. It is really diffacult driving a company truck if all you have done most of your career as a owner operator and lease operator.

There are many of us that have been around for a good long time. That is one of the things that really amazes me with JCT is the fact that we have a lot of long term drivers still here. I don't spend much time here, mainly because there are too many big kids that don't have a clue and love to say things they know nothing about. I spend most of my "free" time on facebook. I am happy here, and currently have no intention on going anywhere. I should have come to JCT years ago.

Well Said Grizzlyman...... I have been over here 4 years and while no company is perfect, JCT is perfect for me. My only regret is that i did not come over here sooner. The miles stay consistent. The office staff is helpful and the majority of our drivers are teammembers not individuals!
