    Really?....

Your bitterness for not getting hired due to your lack of driving skills and abilitys has gone on way to long bigboy.

You should really move on with your life now, it's been over a year sense JCT sent you home. Your constant stalking and anger has become pathetic!

Work on your driving skills and when you're ready to try again I will make a call for you. Even tho I don't work there anymore, I left on good terms and was told I could come back anytime, so I will put a good word in for you. Why? Because I want you to reach your lifetime dream of being good enough to call yourself a JCT driver!

Well, I'm just going to say this about JCT. I ran for them for 7months, never had a problem until 4 days ago. That was when I was brought into John Mallory and terminated due to 1 speeding ticket that I received on 10/8 and I am still fighting it right now. This is the first and only speeding ticket I have gotten in 15yrs of driving. Now thats not the funniest part. Here is the rest of it. I was in Ft Worth on Friday morning when they told me to come back to the yard in Sapulpa, I got there at 4pm and was told to go to the hotel until Sun and see John on Sunday. When I walked it and talked with him he terminated me right there and then. I personally have no hard feelings against JCT. They are a good company. But John could have done this with a little more respect then bringing someone and making them sit for 2 more days to fire them. That is the most disrespectible (I know my spelling sucks) thing someone could do.

ALAN, help me out with this...with all i have read about JCT, would they REALLY term a person for one ticket in 15 yrs? "ghosttruck" didn't mention any ticket details, but I find it hard to believe a company would terminate for one ticket, unless it was "reckless" (15 over). Thoughts?

No not at all. Its not in the contract either. What is in the contract is you lose your safety bonus for and moving violations and log violation. If it was 15 over than yes I would understand termination then.

Also if he was under probation with log departmentthen the ticket will do it too

Figured it would have to be pretty bad for that particular repsonse from management. Way back in the day I received a 15 over ticket in rural ND...the company (Dart Transit) read me the riot act and basically made me feel as stupid as possible for getting such a stupid ticket. I wholeheartedly agreed with them, and all was well....except I paid way more attention to what I was doing..CDL protection and all that. I'm sure another one of those EVER would have spelled my doom with Dart. Pays to behave, I guess. Thanks Alan...

I am not saying it's true in this situation, but most of the time when a contract is terminated, the whole story does not come out. There are a lot of factors, like Alan said, log book violations, incidents with customers, late for pickup or delivery's. I got a ticket in AZ for 84 in a 75. John let me know it was not acceptable. I managed to get it thrown out, legal defence really helps.

According to John, anything over 10mph which this was in Or. (65 in 55) and they terminate. That is what he put in my term statement. So yes they have changed the rules to 10 over.
And like I said, I have nothing bad to say about JCT on a whole (except the main. department sucks lol). They were very good to me and kept me moving. I just wish they would have waited until the final decision on the ticket which is set for Dec 9th to do it.

I'm not bashing JCT either, but I know a guy that was brought in to see John, he chewed his ### for about an hour, then he had to go watch a few hours of movies about logs etc... then John told him "i could keep you if I wanted to, but I'm just gonna fire you".

there was a lot to the whole story but the way John did it was BS!

All companies are tightening thier belts right now. We all need to watch ourselves for a while now. I hate to hear about someone getting fired for 1 ticket in 15yrs,,that just sucks.

Sorry, I have spent all afternoon reading this thread and feel like I know some of you, even though I don't. This has been a great thread, I was looking at JCT a while back but found some things that turned me away, but now I am revisiting the idea.
