wow...just caught up on this thread, looks like we need to bring it back to an information sight,,,so here goes,,,
    my truck,,2010 prostar 583.00 wk
    apu 95.00 week
    insurance,,135.00 week
    qcom 12.00 week
maint escrow account .07cpm (unless jct has picked up the tab for a large repair that wiped out your escrow acct,,then it moves to .10 cpm until you hit 00.00 then back to .07cpm to 5 grand then you have the option to continue witholding to any ammount)
you will have a side note for the first year,(acts as a downpayment) this will be 128.00 per week or close to it depending on truck
25.00 a week holdback for a performance bonus until it reaches 1000.00
(some companies call this a security deposit)
3.98 a week for drivers defence fund (if you opt for it) i recommend it highly,,they fought a california speeding ticket for me and got it reduced to a "fix-it ticket"
and they offer the tax service company "atbs" ( i dont recommend them) for about 18.00 a week
    thats your fixed expenses.
you will get .90cpm loaded and empty
currently the fsc is .43cpm this week (it usually stays within a cent or two across a months time
the safety bonus is .02cpm per quarter,,( i have recieved 4 out of five) ( i forfeited one for that ticket)
you can run any where from the low fleet average of 2600 miles per week up to the typical fleet avg of 3500 mpw,,some (quite a few) run a bit more.
most trucks here get between 5.2 to 7 mpg,,,i get 6.5 headed east,,and 6.0 headed west typically
dispatcher doesnt relly matter that much,,,,have been at war with mine from day one,,but he gets me the miles and hometime i require.
watch your fuel (how much you use and where you buy it) and talk directly to the load planners as much as you can....get that load in the delvery area ahead of time as much as possible,,( to help you get more drop and hooks in our yards and relay/swaps)
i have been here a year and a half now and i usually bring home (after expenses) 1000.00 to 1500.00 a week.
i could make more but i like the way i run my business as it is.
do these tings and you will be successful, you really cant screw this up unless you cant pick up a cell phone or type into a qcom

runningman0661, Alanp613 and azcardnlz Thank this.
