Only bad weeks is when I take the week off. When you can prove yourself with more than 2 years experience then maybe I can give some credence to your comment.

well,,i am happy for you that you have found such a great deal at act,,they were one of my top 4 picks after a lot of research,,they have a comparable lease program and just like jct,,you can make money there,,i do notice though from your posts on act thread that you run 3-4 k miles a week and you are averaging 1470.00 or so a week,,thats pretty good,,,its also exactly what i am making,,so again,,what is your continued beef with jct,,and btw,,unless someone has a hazmat endorsement then they get .94cpm loaded and .90 empty right? i get .90 loaded and empty plus an extra .02cpm for safety bonus each quarter
your truck is 602 a week (your posted numbers) for 46 months plus a 1k buyout at lease end,,mine is 583 wk plus 1 dollar buyout, your apu is apparently at no charge,,mine is 95 bucks a week,(my choice to purchase one) our insurance and other fixed seem to be about equal, i like your fuel passthrough better than ours, but from your pay averages we seem to be neck and neck,so enough with the jct bashing,,people can succeed or fail both at act and jct,,it is entirely up to the individual, and again,no one fails here due to lack of freight or driver support, they fail from poor work ethic/unwillingness to operate as a business,,it is hard for most people to make the transition from company driver to business owner, you have to be willing to take all of the responsibility, and if your are not getting what you need then you must speak up and work with admin to ensure that you do not allow your business to fail,,,good luck with your endeavors at act, i also "know a guy" that works there and he loves it (although he does not wish for me to give out his name) and has nothing but good things to say about them,,and he has nothing but good things to say about his former business partner,,,,,,,jct.......

That is about how long I've been on this Truckers Report so does that mean I can't type, seems you failed your driving test with 12 years experience so in my opinion your comments don't count. I think your comments are humorous and futile so with that said keep "blow'n smoke" because I have never had a service failure, accident, ticket what so ever. I was "Top Gun" in school and still talk to my trainers, and one of which gave me one of his own safety driving awards for being one of the best drivers he has ever trained. You can hold a wheel for 12 years or you can "Drive" for 12 years. I was wondering how many companies you been with 4,5,6,7,..... Anyway I'm just a lowly company driver that takes home 7-850 a wk so what would I know. Hey grannylane might see you out there gotta see which offer is a better fit for me and the family. I have had 5 offers from very good companies some keep sweetening the "pot" so just waiting no hurry to jump in, alanp and you guys have really been helpful with the info on this thread. I have been over to your FB page when I settle in with whoever, I will keep in touch since you and the other "JCT" successful business owners have what it takes to make it in the "real" world :biggrin_25517: cant help it he's just so fun to mess with(puts pacifier back in bkid's mouth) now now stop crying it will be ok 12yr.

HMMM.....so unless someone has your years of experience,,,,then theyre opinion doesn't count? hmmmm....i am beggining to see that your weight or your driving test had nothing to do with not making it through the front door here,,,might be that you let some of that bad attitude slip in front of the wrong person on the yard/classroom....did it ever occur to you that not everyone in the classes are really new hires?,,might just have been an admin/dispatcher in there just to see what kind of drivers they were getting,,,,,,,oopps,,did i let that slip out-loud?
as far as experience goes,,one of the best backing tips i have ever gotten was from a young fella not 6 months out of school,,,dont be so quick to dismiss a newbie,,,if youve got the stones to listen then you just might learn something once in a while.

How strict is JCT on the 2 jobs in the last 12 months? Knowing how cut-throat this industry is, you can get a good idea of a companies reputation by researching, but you really don't know how a company is going to work out for you until you work for them. I've worked for 4 companies in the last year and so many companies are going to this now, that it's hard to get on with one. Every company I've looked at on here has good and bad posts about them. Some more than others and most refer to a lease/purchase agreement. I've gotten the short end of the stick a few times and just not sure what's up with companies now. So just curious :)

    Thanks
