Thankyou for taking the time to share your views here. Things do change and the consensus seems to be things are going downhill fast for many of the lease ops at JCT. My sympathies to everyone who will lose their business due to the forced transition to E-Logs.

There are still carriers out there that do not use electronic logs and I encourage the runners and hustlers to seek out these companies quickly before they lose their homes as well as have to give back their JCT truck.

Thank you grannylane. This was my fear. It's not the E-Logs nearly as much as it is the transition. Especially when it's a phased in transition. As long as there is even one driver there not on E-Logs to pick up the slack, those on the E-Logs will suffer. I may check back in six months, if I'm still looking then. But until then, I'm out. Thanks all.

you hit the nail on the head, its not the e-logs,,as a matter of fact, i like them, its the transition thats the big problem, but having one part of the fleet on them and the other part on paper logs is a mess and is an open invitation to shuffle e-logs to the bottom of the deck for dispatch

Well, just got a preplan loadin out of Lemoore. But the #### thing does'nt pick up till Thurs. morning.:biggrin_2553: Not a great start so far, ( although the first run was my choice, needed to get buy the house to get my stuff ) loaded in tulsa thurs didn't deliver in Pheonix till Mon. mornin', made it there Sun. mornin' even after takin' a 34hr restart at the house. They would'nt let me drop it. So sat all day Sun waitin' to deliver, then got a short run to Wilmington,CA 371/mi. that delivered Mon. afternoon. Been sittin' here in Mira Loma ever since.:biggrin_2552:
