BigR - could not find you at Mira Loma so went to the T/A. Could not find ya there either, but did find Jerry ( L2009C ) who was in orientation with ya. Had a good chat (about e-logs mostly) and called it an evening. Maybe next time, safe running to ya.

I'm on E-logs and I've been on paper and I worked the system to my advantage, I made money on both BUT..... that has been on dry van loads mostly, reefer is a different story.(did 6 mos)
The live loads can eat up your clock and if you can make it there and sit and not start your 14 hr clock until after loading that is key.
Showing up and being within a mile or on site, your able to stay in SB that way you get loaded then combine your load/pre trip into one 15 minute status then leave.
You can pm me I have knowledge of your equipment and can help you
(legally) of course, every system has ways to use it to your advantage.
Also the fifth circuit denied implementation of mandatory EOBR's in trucks though the NTSB will make noise with congress, they are not rule makers but can influence rule makers.(company choice)
Don't give up I ran (dry van) 3500+ in a castrated company cab you have to learn to "roll" your clock and run smarter not harder extreme trip planning is a must especially in the reefer biz.
I ran E-log reefer for 6 month's and still did 2100+ mile runs on time never late in a 62 mph truck I'm not trying to bull up on you all, just telling you it can be done.
Don't give up now adapt and overcome!!!BigR, Panhandle flash, JohnBoy and 1 other person Thank this. -
I left there about 12 30pm local time, must have just missed me. Headed up to Lemoore to pick up this load. Sittin' in Ludlow, CA now waitin' for my 10 to be up. Maybe next time we can meet.Trippy Hippy Thanks this.

Ludlow, that's an exciting place ! Yes, got to Mira Loma about 1:00 JCT just let me know that my wheelbase is too long for them, so will stay where I'm at. Stay safe and hollar if ya get out this way again. -
In regaurds to a post I made earlier about JCT. I have been hesitant about explaining myself, because of certain BIG bashers that come here.
I do not hold any animosity towords JCT, but what they did to a friend of mine, who had 5 months to pay off his truck( which would have been done in 3 1/2 years) was not right. He DROVE his truck in to a dealer, with a miss in the engine. They diagnosed it as having a bad injector, the next day he called to see if it was ready. They told him that they misdiagnosed it, and he had a blown engine. The bearing cap bolts broke, and took out the motor. Come on folks HE DROVE IT IN. Well to make a long story short, JCT won't back him up. Since he is on a lease and doesn't own the truck, he can't sue for the damages. JCT wants to put him in to a new truck lease, Pay the balance owed on his old truck, plus all the repairs.
Everyone read your contract carefully, and watch your back -
to those who sent kind thoughts about hearing my dad has lung cancer, thank you so much its was greatly appreciated, found out today that he is in stage 4, having a dificult time with this news,
LMB, you really should try and find out the rest of the story with your friend, I know this company as a lease op, and as an owner op, they just do not operate that way, when did you work here?, if you didnt, please only submit comments on companies you personally know
