I am very sorry to hear about your father, The reason I left JCT after 3 1/2 years because my team partner (my wife) had cancer. I don't know if you realized that I am the one who had started this thread. As far as the incindent I wrote about, The gentleman and his wife are also team drivers, whom I have knon for 10 years. With that being said, I did check out thier story with 2 dispatchers, and one of the shift supervisors in the shop. I am not going to come here and start rumors about JCT. I have always said that they were a good company to work for. The out come of this came out of a meeting with Shanon Crowley, and Alan from the shop. What I stated was exactly what they told my friend. If you would like to hear the story from the Team I am talking about, his name is Roger and his wife is Kat. If you would like to call them, PM me and I will give you thier phone number. Thier truck is L1683, a blue FL classic. it is sitting at the Sapulpa shop. They are driving a loaner till the new trucks come in.

So...... they want to "pay the balance of the lease" on the old truck .... to themselves? And he doesn't get the truck? Then force him into a new lease for another 3+ years?

    WTF?

i appreciate the input and info, but i was doing very well on e-logs while caleb was here,,he knew how they worked,as aa matter of fact i made more money in the first month on them than my previous month on paper,,but the last two months with two dm,s has used up all my savings and now my family is in financial peril,,wont be able to remain here and "hope" they get there act together,,sometimes it just works out that way,,,good luck to all who remain or join jct,,it was great for me for a while but its time to cut my losses.

Thank you for you sympathy with my father, I hope your wife is do good, the only part I have issue with is JCT sying they need to pay the balance on the old truck, I dont know the intire inncident, why the motor blow, or what happen, I've turned in lease trucks, and was never asked to pay the belence, i have read my contract(still have it from when I had a lease),there is nothing in it that states I will be liable for the balance, Maybe your friend should speak with an attorney

I think you misunderstood lmb, what he said was his friend only had few months left on his lease when the truck blew up, instead of giving him option to repair and keep finishing paying off the truck, they said they would pay for repairs and zero out his maintenance if he signs a new lease. I would understand the frustration too if all you got is a few months to pay off the truck, but in the contract it clearly states the truck is still 3 diamond leasing's until that title is in your name.

Alanp613 think I might have misread your post, What I thought you said was " JCT wants your friend to pay off old truck and repairs, even with the blown motor and lease a new truck" is this what was said or is what you said what Alanp613 said, that JCT would pay off truck and zero out maintence if they least a new truck?

They want to lease him a new truck, pay off the $18000.00 owed on his old truck, and his current maintainence account, which is around $8000.00

They want them to still pay off the truck? Are you sure your friend isn't pulling your strings? Because I know at least two other guys here, one was l1650 he blew an engine two years ago with less than a year left on his truck, they repaired it, asked if he wanted a new truck, he said no, they left him alone. It was a 15000 repair and jct didn't force him into a new lease. The other guy, his truck blew up in Kingman and jct offered to pay for his hotel too. So I don't know why they would screw your friend like that.
