Sorry it's been a while for me. Things on the home front have been pretty screwed up. (they've terminated treatment for my mom, and have given her only days to maybe weeks) As for the ProStar, I took a good look at them. They are the mid-roof (same as the 9900 I'm in now) The bottom bunk is larger than my bed. There is less cabinet space than my truck has, due to the windows. In my opinion, I prefer more cabinet space. The trucks are loaded up with options. They have steering wheel controls, as well as a lot of neat gadgets. They have the pro leather seats (like mine, which I prefer to the Talladega seats in the other trucks. BIG selling point for me!!!) They have Cummins with a 10 speed. (a negative for me. I like my kitty and 13 speed. But I think THOSE days are pretty much over) The trucks do have duals, but if you want to pay the pretty penny to get singles, have at it! I'll keep my duals, thank you very much.As for me, I've bumped my fuel economy up to 5.8 by taking it easier on acceleration. I am also running around 69 most of the time. I will probably be swinging through the yard in a few hours to get my trailer washed out and a couple tires put on the trailer, as I'm unloading near Oklahoma City right now. My next load picks up in Tulsa heading for Phoenix. At this pace, I'll be around the yard for dinner.

If ya slow down you will break the 6's.I know it can be done a friend of mine had a 9900 over there and I convinced him to drop to 62-63mph and for the last 6 months he went from 5.5-5.8 up to 6.4mpg.It all depends on what you want to put back in your pocket at the end of the day.

It would be nice if JCT would update their website with some pics of these new International Prostars. Perhaps one of the current drivers could mention it to JCT management.

I dropped down to 65 for a short time and saw the same fuel economy. Dropped to 60 and saw a drop in economy. The engine's "sweet" spot is around 67-68. I've experimented quite a bit. The ProStars are power everything, but I don't think they have satellite radio, just AM/FM/CD. That's what mine is, also. I have a separate XM radio plugged into the auxillary input on the stereo. I don't know if the ProStar stereo is the same, but mine also has amp outputs on it. (which I intend to use eventually)

I'm on the yard now. All that's in the pen is ProStars. Only one of them is light green. Two black ones and several blue. If I were looking to upgrade, the black would be tempting. I'm behind a light blue one in the wash bay. The trailer I'm inheriting when I get over to pick up my load is one I dropped a couple weeks ago in Kalifornia. I had to look at my logbook to doublecheck. The reefer unit is nearly brand new. (It had like 150 hours on it when I dropped it) Then I'm off to Phoenix. Load delivers at 1am on Thursday.

They are pretty much top of the line ProStars. I haven't seen APU's on any of them waiting to get assigned. They do, however, have Webasto heaters. (heat without idling) They also have some other tube coming from under the sleeper. (maybe they do have some form of non-idling cooling system???) I'm getting the exterior of my truck washed for free since I stopped on the yard to get the trailer washed out. (let me debate if that's good or not. I really wanted to get a good wax on my truck wash. Oh well, how can I argue with free?!?!)I post from my phone, so I'm posting this while standing in the wash bay...
