How are the team trucks doing at JCT? Is this a forced trainer position if you don't have a partner, or do you get to keep a guy who wants to run hard.
Thanks -
Just joined, what truck is that?
-
We don't have trainers. If you want to be team they can find you a partner. The new cascadias are capable of that mileage
-
Gunny, it's a 2012 Kenworth T660 with a Paccar MX. Alan is right. The new Cascadias are capable of that too. It takes a very light foot, and careful trip planning to be able to keep the speed way down, like 55 most of the time. Semper Fi.
-
How realiable is that MX engine?
-
Seems like software issues are the only thing so far. I have been in it a month, and it only has 138,000 miles on it, so it's a bit early to tell. I like the way a DD15 pulls better than this one.RizenPhoenix Thanks this.

I didn't even know we had '12 660's. I would grab one of them in a heartbeat. I average between 6.5 and 7.0 running between 64-68mph in my '12 Cascadia. I could get better, but if I'm not doing 650+ miles/day, I get the shakes. I also need to get my apu. That will really help out. The DD15 does pull really well though.

I hear ya. But I don't count miles. I count money. I'm not out here to run miles, but to make money. I have run both ways, and fewer, more efficient miles puts more to my bottom line than big miles do.
I don't think JCT has T660's. I don't drive for them though.Steel Tiger Thanks this. -
I have to agree. Work smarter, not harder. I make a comfortable living and profit after only 2300 miles per week. Everything else is mad money.
