Possibly their company trucks are. I don't know. But their lease trucks are set at 65MPH. I had one, and had to run it that fast once for an on time delivery.

Everyone was taught to run run run, back in the day. That's how you made money back then... when fuel was 62 cents per gallon. Things are very different today, but some people don't want to change. Good luck in your experiment. I hope you find the best way to maximize your profits, whatever that may be. As you know, the APU will help tremendously!

I am retired. We quit JCT when my wife was diagnosed with cancer. I came back as solo for about 3 months, I had a heart attack. I got a job with Pumpkin, and run out of the port here at home. Home every other night, and every weekend. Qui them in November, when I went on insulin. Now I am sitting on my butt enjoying life

I get the 925.00 Now figure in the payroll Tax of 231.25. Your avg just went done to 631.75. Now im sure you got a Qrtly Fuel tax on top of that avgs out to 55 a week. So basically now your down to 576.75. SO if your single ,your correct it can be done. Somebody said lease operators are nothing more than company drivers making truck payments . The more you crunch the number the more that is true. Only difference between a lease driver and a company driver is that if you succeed you get the title. Lease is not designed to make you alot of money ,being a company driver isnt designed to make you alot of money either . Thats trucking. Thats what i have learned in 22yrs. The real money is on the otherside of the fence. Companies are making a killing why you make truck payments on a truck thats paid for already. Cuts there cost down tremendously. My old employer Bought 65 Freightliners new at 75,000 each at a bulk rate price. He leases them out at 110,000 each .Titles yours if you want it ,come and get it .Now i lease myself my profit and loss statements are at 42.6 a mi. Im a company driver making truck payments . And i grossed 66,441.12 in 5.5 months that with 7.2mpg calculated pen to paper. So dont be so quick to thump your chest .

I use to drive for JCT, I think they are a very good company to drive for, I had to leave back in OCT of last year, Now back over the road, But I sold my truck, I would have like to go back to JCT, but the trucks they get today are company set up trucks, basic everyting, If your ok with that, then You can make a descent living there, If you have half a brain, if your wondering why i left?, My dad was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, He passed away in April, needed to get back to work, so I got a job with Western Dist. out of Denver, Also a good company to drive for, but been thinking of buying another truck, If I do, I'll probably call JCT, They do pay more thing for the drivers, Lease or OO

I taught they just have a lease to own program O/O's but not drivers.
I already submit my application with them but they're taking it's time. Hope to have a chance to put my foot on the door all because the good things I did hear about the company.
