I'm not sure I understand what you mean by quarterly fuel taxes costing an extra $55 per week, unless you buy all your fuel in Oregon. The way I buy fuel, more than enough tax is collected when I buy the fuel, and I get a refund.

As a lease operator, I am not paid like a company driver. Say you have two company drivers. One operates his truck as efficiently as he can and gets 2500 miles this week. The other wastes fuel by keeping his foot in the throttle at all times, constantly idles even when not necessary, and gets 2500 miles this week as well. Both get paid exactly the same, before taxes and deductions. Now take two lease operators. The one who operates efficiently will take home more profit than the one who doesn't. In fact, the one who doesn't operate efficiently enough will likely go out of business soon, and of course, blame the company, the economy, the government, anyone but himself.

JCT pays/files quarterly fuel taxes for us. Just another perk from
    the company.

Maybe I would think so since your not paying "IN" anything so I would keep it if I was paying your dues.

You are paying in though when you pump the fuel. The way it is set up though with JCT paying the fuel tax if you have half a brain there would not be a refund for JCT to keep because all you should do is fuel as much as possible in the cheap IFTA tax states like Ok, Mo, In and so on.

What are you talking about? Can you even read? It was a simple explanation written in English. Maybe somebody can translate it to Chinese for you so you can understand it. I don't do stick figures.
