Are you saying you can't do a million miles legally in 5years? That breaks down to roughly 3700 miles a week. Stay out of the truck stop buffets and you can do that easily!
As far as needing a reset 70miles from home, if you used up your drive hours then yea, that's the law driver.

Welcome to 2012
Isn't that like everything? A few ruins it for all? Welcome to the NSA (Nanny States of America.) Think about it next time you go through airport security.
Yes because, you know, even though you lease your car, you shouldn't have to follow the those pesky mileage limits right? If you don't like the rules, then go buy your own truck and get your own authority. How's that lawsuit going btw?
Really dude? I hear Swift is hiring.
Panhandle flash Thanks this. -
i just want to post on here about all the good and helpful drivers i have met while out on the road. I have drove different trucks the last 14 years and have only been out over the road the last 7 months.Im givin it up and my main reason is my family hates me being gone all the time.its not only hard on the road but also at home.and i guess i chose the wrong companies to try because it was nothing like i was told it would be.to me a persons word means alot and all i asked was for them to be honest.but i didnt get on here to complain but to tip my hat to the drivers that have done this for years.Because without all of the drivers out there on the road life would be so much harder for everyone else. But im not saying something that all of you out here dont already know.just think how their lives would be without food, clothes and everything else that is delivered by trucks. It does get me though that it seems that the driver is the one that has to cater to everyone. should be the other way around. because with out you they wouldnt be working either. So to all of you out there you will always have my respect and there will always be a spot in front of me in traffic.
7-UP and Jarhed1964 Thank this. -

I am currently planning on making the switch from TransAm to JCT, from what I have read and from other transam drivers who have switched jct is the lease company to work for. Im still open to other companies but so far JCT Seems most likely. Im always open to suggestions though. I have made a list of the people at JCT that people seem to have issues with so I know who to steer clear of. Hopefully my experience will be a positive one.

Many Jct drivers that were posting on here have actually left JCT and gone to work for ACT instead. I have kept up with this thread since its inception and must say from what I have read during that time I would choose ACT over JCT as well ("IF" I were interested in a lease purchase that is).BigKid2 Thanks this.

So are you saying you did not do what they teach in orientation? Get a load going to west coast and fuel in Arizona then don't log any further west. Go to Cali and deliver and pickup and come back across to Arizona but the part from Arizona to Cali back to Arizona disappears from your logbook. I talked to several people there before I went to orientation and they all did that. They used to teach that in orientation. You did none of that huh? A million miles on your truck in 5 years but you always ran legal. You must of been the only one if that is the case which I highly doubt.
