Got JCW's settlement from last week in the email today. I think I need new eyeballs, took me a little bit to get it all worked out. I know that he has to stop by SpringMo sometime next week for a new EZPass, else, I'm going to go to Denver and wring his FM's neck.

    I feel better now.

Give it some time i think things will work out. If the checks does not improve in the next 2 weeks, then JCW needs to have a talk with his dm or fm.

No, he's company, but the way they entered things had me cross-eyed for a few minutes. He had to get chains, locks, and assorted other requirements for the truck, that came up to about $700. He did arrange for it to be taken out slowly. He had to get an advance because his EZPass is non-functional at the moment, and that came out of this week's pay, and will get reimbursed next week, after he scans in the TripPak.

I wasn't complaining about the short check, really. My mind was just reeling from checking the settlement (something everyone should do, by the way). He only got one run in on the pay period, the one that got him back to Pittston. He DID get some layover pay, since he had to wait on a ride up there, and then for them to check over the truck. But that's something he worked out w/ his FM. This week, he's on his second run, which is over 1000 miles, and should still get a good run over the weekend, we hope. Either way, the check is already sitting at better than what he made as a mechanic.:biggrin_2559:

Ok my bad then, from the way you said it, it sounded like the check was'nt looking good, but that's a good thing he is making better checks than his last job, i know i will be making a killing when i get to transition from the job i have now. Pizza delivery driver:biggrin_2557:

YUCK! Yeah, definitely. I wish more people would remember that good/bad pay is kinda determined by what you are used to. We are a one income family. He only needs to hit 1500 miles for the week to see the same gross income as he did as a mechanic. Sad isn't it?

There are some expenditures that he just won't get back until a load is completed and scanned in. If he misses the cut or a long load delivers on Wed., it's just the price of doing business.

As long as he gets the receipts and runs the proper macros he shouldn't have any problems. If he does he has his paperwork and he had his phone.

I keep all load info for at least 30 days. I've never had to even go back that far to straighten anything out. Typical problems are poor scans, and truck stop counter people who may accidentally feed or allow two sheets to run thru the scanner at the same time. My payroll person is really good about sending me a note if something needs to be rescanned... And a rescan has been very rare.

Lumper receipts are gold and need to be protected. They can get into the $300-$500 range and if mismanaged take a big chunk out of your check until you produce the receipts. At a minimum it needs the lumper service's tax ID, name, trailer number, amount, phone number. If it is an individual you need name, address and social(unless they have a tax ID)

He may have to pay washouts out of pocket. It's either that or try and find a Prime Networked wash nearby. Again reciept and trailer wash macro gets him his reimbursement.

Nothing "wee" about my migraines. I feel bad about the Gymnast missing 3 days of practice, so, I'm headed out with the dregs of it still hanging on, to get her there today.
