Heck, I wish I had some of the old pics when we could haul 2 combines or cotton pickers legal on the same trl. They were fun lding and off lding.
Going down the road they liked to flex. One would flex left and the other flex right. Talk about pucker factor untill you got used to it.
These were Case combines and pickers.

If anyone has a picture of one of these new combines on a step deck, I would love to see it...

How tall was the 8000 with the front end run up? That must have been at least 15.5' high.

I can't exactly take pictures and drive at the same time for something like that.

Those are alot lower than a step deck.

I used to haul them on a double drop, blocked on the frame, and they weren't as big as they are now.

I don't actually remember how tall it was I do know we never hit anything, looking back I'd never do it with my rig,

We run 36" steps. Completely on the lower deck those tractors are at least 13'9". Running the front end up another 20 inches...yikes! Hopefully, you were out in the middle of nowhere.

According to the John Deere's owners manual the S680 combine is 12'5 to 12'7 high with everything folded down, and has 1'6" of ground clearance. So take the tires off and your only 10'6. Opps should be about 11'

Sounds about right, saw one last week on a step deck, didn't look much taller than the van trailers going by.

Maybe I am missing something, but wouldn't 12.5 - 1.5 = 11'. Also, the combine can not be set flat on the deck. You would have to add something for blocking. So on one of my 36" trailers you would be 14'2 to 14'4. I guess you could do it depending on where you are running. Like I said, just post the picture once its on the trailer, 'cause I want to see it.
