#1 I don't care if someone hauls combines on steps. I only entered the conversation because I appreciate it when people closer to the situation add valuable information. Basically, I wanted to make sure CC didn't bounce in to Moline and get turned away.

#2 Seeing someone driving down the Interstate doing something stupid doesn't make it a good idea.

#3 It was left open that they might allow will call carriers to haul combines on step decks. This might explain what you saw. The next line, from the site manager said they would be over 15' high...see #2.

    #4 I didn't say people didn't do it...just that I would like to see pictures...see #2.

Best luck with whatever you decide to do. I hope you are getting a serious premium if you are over 14' high.

One other thing comes to mind while reading this thread, and that is Ins. coverage in the event of a loss. I know mine would'nt cover the value of a combine. i assume a combine costs in the area of 400k

O Pape I wasn't meaning to step on nerves, I deal with seeing one thing and hearing another ALL the time, I assume customer pick ups are who is doing it, maybe "not for hire"

Give it a try. I would make sure you call ahead and be sure they will load your step deck. Please provide dimensions and pictures once it is on the trailer.

    SHC Thanks this.
