    I just met two Q-Line trucks rolling NB on I-29, N of Grand Forks. Each had a brand new JD combine on a stepdeck.

    No I didn't. Stopped quick to take pictures. Missed the driver too. Saw two more going up the interstate, later that day.

    just wondering...some states will not give you an overheight permit for a stepdeck load if it can go on a dd or rgn

    I have never run into that issue. I generally stay away from anything over 14' high. I just find there are too many issues to deal with once you go over 14' high.
