    There is a lesson...Take care of all overages and shorts and damages at the receiver. Do not leave the premises.
    It is easier to walk into the office and get what you need for the broker and take pictures at the dock. At least you know where you are in the situation.

    Step 1. Issue payment in full demand letter to shipper. Certified mail. Keep copy. Payment due in 30 days or less.

    Step 2. No payment after 35 days. File warrant in debt on virginia courts website Chesapeake VA for payment plus 2 days of court appearance ($1500 maybe).

    Step 3. Pay $55 by check mail it to court.

    You'll have your money before the 1st appearance but if not, explain to the judge that the BOL legal terms the inventory belongs to the receiver FOB from the second it is placed on your trailer.
