i don't think you can buy a smartphone without a data plan.

the article specifically stated iphones. but couldn't say HOW att found out.

like bigrig says though. it's probably the ones using heavily. and given how all movies will be over the internet very shortly here. i think it's ridiculous that ALL internet provides want to cap your internet.

redbox, blockbuster, and netflix will soon be a thing of the past. as far as actual dvds go. and considering the average movie now stands at about 8 gigs for high def. i sure hope someone finds a way to compress those movies. much like songs are compressed into mp3's.

 

I use my Droid and tether it to the laptop, pay $30.00 a month for data so im using it, but mine is through Verizon!

Am in Dimondale, MI at the moment. Man has this trk stop gone down hill in the last 2 yrs. Think I should have gone to the hook instead but am only 3 miles from my final here.

 

there is a mobile connect plan that we're all supposed to be paying for if we want to tether our phones.

it's nice to have people that can develop programs to beat the system.

my phone is mobile hotspot capable. i have wireless tether for free. but the phone does have to be rooted. and it's come in handy a time or two for those that can't get a good connection with there own carrier. or have lousy 3g signal. (i have 4g, and even in it's weakest signal. it works better then 3g with full bars) and for those rare instances when i need to use my laptop in the parking lot.

my droid works so good that the only reason i need a computer anymore is for jj's trucking thread where i need a lot of typing. LOL.

 

I play games on FB and its nice to have the bigger laptop screen...getting old and don't see that small screen to good for my games lol.

 

Try fb'inhg on the screen of a blackberry, or surfing and posting on here. NOT FUN. Lextec makes fun of me all the time, phone close up, far away, close up, glasses up, etc. All to see and type. Man, you would think I was old or something

Btw, just ordered the sleepdog mattress. We will report if it is worth it

Then they say that, "it will comfortably support individuals up to 400 pounds. (Will support a combined weight up to 800 pounds)."

It may be a great mattress, but I am glad that I will not need to see two 400 pound people on a 42" wide mattress.



That is just a mental image that I did not need.

AAAAHHHHH!!!!!

I am now in Carlisle at my terminal.
I have 2.25 hours I can use tomorrow. I have a delivery just down the road at 0800 tomorrow morning.
I tried to get them to allow me to drop the load here and get a restart. But noooo.
I have to deliver in the morning and live on recap hours all week.
Will be a boring day tomorrow.

I noticed that my pilot points were falling off faster than I could use them.
I think I lost over 5000 points before I noticed it. I just never use them.
So I went and bought things I had been putting off.
New XM ant, new CB coax, new truckstop pocket guide (they have all rest areas now too), a few tools and install stuff. Basically 130 bucks worth of crap all on pilot points.
Still have some left too lol.
