Holy cow Batman!!!!! Somebody in my company DOES have some sense. Instead of putting me in a loaner, their moving me into another trk. Bad thing tho is, a smoker was in it. Oh well.

Forget the pet deposit. There should be a smokers deposit. Not saying anyone should be criticized for smoking. I believe in freedom to do as one sees fit. Just sayin' it should not be up to the next driver to clean up the mess or live with the damage.

Watch out ya'll. TA has just helped me fulfill a life long dream. They've moved me into a purple trk. Gonna put teeth on the grill, eyeballs in the sleeper windows, and add a horn coming off the sleeper. If you hear somebody coming down the road, maniacally singing "one eyed, one horned, purple people eater", that'll be me!!!!!!!!!!!

There is a mental image that brightened my day. The "trick my truck" guys should have done a theme truck. I would have loved to see what Rino would have come up with. Some of their stuff was kinda cheesy, but WOW what artist he is.

When I was in the Army I was called Grape Ape.
That was a nice purple monster.

I do not know how "good" it is. rather funny actually.

I went home on leave after basic and AIT. I was shipping over to Germany right after Christmas, so I took 3 weeks at home.
When I finally got to my unit it was New years Eve the next day. I knew nobody, and hardly anyone was around. Due to the break for Christmas week.

    Anyway...
I met a few guys in my platoon and was invited to go over to Wiesbaden Airbase with one of the guys for new years.
Had a good time, drank allot, only got in one minor altercation, and danced most of the night.

    Anyway..
The next day I went to take a shower and I was purple from my neck to my waist.
This was the late 80's. And they were making allot of clothing that was made to fade at the time. The shirt I wore out that night was new, and I had never worn it or washed it.
The shirt, of course was purple. And the dye got all over me.
Took a few days to wash it all out. And after that everyone in my platoon called me grape ape.
The ape part due to my size. Even thin and right out of boot and AIT I was around 200 lbs. And all muscle at that point. At the time most people still knew what that old cartoon was.
Now most people do not remember it.
