Dang but this place was fast tonight. 1 hr and 20 min from arr to departure. Wish all places were like this!!!!

At least you caught that before you were tardy! I did that in Feb...thought I saw 8 and it was the 6th...about 2 hours late. Customer did not even care, but got service failure from the weekend crew. Sitting in Pan's land in OKC waiting to deliver tonight on a short run delivery from Ocheleta last night, but was refused because I was not in the system for delivery

Oh well, making my lemonade.....I completed taxes and filed (pay no attention to the figures.. just deposit the refund

Well, the MRI showed a couple of things, but nothing that should be causing the pain level according to the doc, so she's sending me to an ortho. I have a Type II Acromion, which does have a higher incidence for causing impingement, and there was some stuff that showed up with the rotator cuff. No tears, but something not quite right either. We'll see what the ortho has to say. She did at least give me some pain meds this time since the anti-inflamatories didn't do a darn thing.

Sitting in Walcott at the moment waiting to get in to the shop and get a shock replaced. Since last time I posted, I've had 2 different preplans and the plan they gave me could not be done in the time that was needed. Don't know the cat that replied to my msg but he said it was tight but could be done legal. Yea right. Accepted the load then sent in an ETA that would get me there # 6hrs late. While sleeping, was taken off that one and given another. Now I'm swapping that one and am on a load heading to CD's stomping grounds. Lancaster and Schodack landin, NY.
Lilbit, wishing you luck on the ortho. Glad you got some pain killers but go easy on them, ok?Lilbit Thanks this. -
Oh my effing gawd!!!!! Pulled into the TA at Walcott to do a swap and get a shock replaced. 2 hr wait to get in. OK Finally get inside the shop and am napping. TA(shop) calls and says TA(company) says I'm an O/O and will need to pay for it. Got that squared away and now I find out, that not only has it NOT been approved yet but that they don't have the shock in stock and will have to go get it. Why in the h e l l couldn't they have told me that 3 hrs ago and I could have went on down the road!!!!!!! Am pretty livid at the moment and still need to hit the road at 0400!!!!!!!
Somebody, tell me again why I became a driver?????Last edited: Apr 11, 2011

I am in Hagerstown, and then off to Va beach for tomorrow. I have hopes I can pu and del early on that one though. Or it will take up my whole day.
After that I am not sure. I know they have a load going to Connecticut from their tomorrow, but I would rather not go that way. So I will have to wait and see.
Had a good weekend with the wife in Columbus.
Now I just need to get home so I can get an interview in with a company I am talking too.
The guy is willing to meet me just about anywhere in my area though, and any day. So that helps. Just have to get to the home area to see him.
I am leaning that way. It will be a pain in some ways.
It is reefer hauling ice cream. And much of the time will be pulling turnpike doubles. But the pay sounds like around what I have now, maybe a little more. Much better insurance and everything else.
Home a few nights a week, as well as every weekend.
Plus they move people up from within. So it can be a carrier type position.
I will wait till I meet the guy and get into the nuts and bolts before making a final decision though. I have just decided that I would like to have a life outside of work again.jess-juju, Panhandle flash and JimBob24 Thank this. -
Because you thought it would be cool?

Panhandle flash Thanks this. -
OMG CD, you mean there's a life outside of trucking!!!!!
I never knew.
Sending lots of good wishes (for what there worth), your way. Hope the job is really what your looking for and that it works out. Gotta promise all your fans tho, free ice cream, if we ever cross paths.
BTW, never made it to NY. Company so worried bout there 98.2% OT rate, that they didn't want to take the chance I might know what I'm doing. Oh well. Heading back west on I 80 now.
