Did 583 miles today and it took almost every bit of my 11 to do!! I 68 sure is a pretty drive but OMG!! All them hills and me with 43k in the box. The 2 spots in W. VA that had construction going didn't help either.
They say that cutting the speed back doesn't cut the power back but.....I wonder. Several times I was down to 25 pulling those hills.

Jess, no excuse now!!!! You will post and NOT BE a lazy ###!! LOL

1BAD, wow. You already rate a new, used trk? The family getting all settled in ok?

Week could be another bad one, I think dispatch will drop the ball again.
He got me a load that went thru our Carlisle terminal (east region again), because the trailer and my truck were due for service.
The shipper took too long to load, so I could not make it in here till this morning. Thus I had to start my clock when I really did not want to start till maintenance was done.
I got here at 0715. The trailer is done, now waiting for my truck to get done. I am not even sure if they have started on it yet. Only needs an A service, but that normally takes them a good 2 hours here.

If I can get out at a decent time I will be delivering my load in Lancaster, then picking up not too far from there and heading to Syracuse. That would be enough to make a bad day not as bad as it could be. But I am not sure if I can pick up late at that location, since it is a pre-load but window is only till 1700.
Then it delivers tomorrow morning at 0900. Syracuse is close enough to our region that they could dead head me to one of our spots for an ok load tomorrow. And I will be done with maintenance for 2 weeks.
Will be due for a B service in another 6000 miles.

He promised me more miles. The last 2 weeks were ok, not great but ok. This next 2-3 weeks will be the test. I have no reason to need to go home for the next few weeks. My wife will be out of town. He knows this, so I will see how he runs with it.

GRRRRRRR!!!!!! Gave my mty call yesterday morning and got the info for my load going home. Commited to it and was 2 miles down the road when the worthless (bad word) voided my dispatch. Sent me to Jessup, MD to pick up a fish load with 3 drops down the east coast. Was told they were working on a swap for me. Got to the shipper and asked how the swap was going. Still working on it. Got loaded and asked about the swap. Working on it and oh BTW, you got enough hrs to make the 1st drop? Well heck no!!!! Amazing ain't it, they had a swap within 1 1/2 hr. Ended up having to swap twice.
Dropped this morning and am now in Halifax, VA. Loads going to Bentonville, AR. Least its in the right direction.
Was in such a hurry tho, that I didn't do a proper pti on the tlr I swapped. Sitting here and checking it out and out of 8 tlr tires, got problems with 4 of them. 2 nails, 1 irregular wear pattern, and air leaking out a sidewall, right where the recap is. Nearest TA is # 90 miles away. Hope they all hold together.

Made it to the TA but they only fixed the tire that was leaking air. Surprise, surprise. NOT!!!
Am aat a scale in Springfield, AR doing a 10 or so. Hate staying at scales. Get paranoid about being woke up and wanting to check paperwork. lol Only place I could get to tho with my very limited 1/2 hr.
Will be at the house tomorrow. YEA!!!!

I am in the middle of freakin nowhere lol. Let's see.....
Hayesville NC. In the western most corner of the state. Was a fun drive to get here (not)
Was a good load though. 900 miles with 37 hours from pickup to delivery. Not the greatest, but good for here.
No cell service, no internet on my card. Lucky for me the company I am at has an open internet connection.
I need to call my wife though and cannot, so I am sure she is freaking out. I sent her a pm on msn that she will get if she logs on again tonight.
Got myself worked out of nights and back to days, so should not be too bad a weekend.

Well we are parked at the TA in Wheeler ridge CA for a 10hr break!! This TA sucks, only fast food here and I wanted a Salad tonight oh well maybe tomorrow night.

We are on our way to Sumner WA and JJ will be having a much needed 34hr reset.

I am thinking I may get my CDL permit soon since the company we are with now will let JJ train me, only problem with that would be running from Caldwell ID to Walnut CA all the time, seems like the 2 teams they have run that route only!:biggrin_25526:
