due to the change in ownership. the previous owner bought her own trucks again. and tried to get dot numbers but couldn't. becuase she has numbers already. so the company she sold has to get there own dot numbers. i guess the trucks are stuck where ever they are at. till we get new numbers. but i made it home.
that explains the no communication.
gots an extended weekend this week till we get new numbers.
this company sucks in more way then you guys will ever imagine. i'll be surprised if it survives by the end of year. course, it's not like i had a lot of options. the only good thing about this company is the freedom to run as we please. no qualcoms. just deliver in the morning. and pick up in the afternoon. that's all they care about.
paccar financial has opened up a used truck center across the highway from central.
anyone know anything about them?
i'm all for the babes in the south. but i can do without the humidity.
i remember training. dedicated run from salt lake to spartan south carolina. drop the trailer. practice backups. take a shower and instant sweat as soon as i walked out the door.

Ever been so tired that your body just wont shut down? Well thats how I am bout now. Since 0530 yesterday morning, I've had about 3 hrs sleep. Got a swap yesterday, that required me to run all night. Couldn't sleep well since I only had 4.25 hrs I could drive. Laid down about 1800 and was woke up about 2100 by the swap driver. Took me an hour to do all the paperwork and inspections. Laid down for an hr then ran it. Got to the yard in Olathe this afternoon and truck promptly went into the shop for a PM. Finally got it back bout 2000 tonight and well, still up. Good thing I don't have a load till the afternoon, then another all nighter it looks like.

with the way our government works now a days it'll probally take 6 weeks to a year if all goes well and everything was submitted properly. if not who knows. my suggestion is to get the want ads out and start looking.
-
yep. that's what google said. 20 minutes for the number but 4-6 weeks for operating authority for that number.
now i'm debating to grab the rest of my stuff.
the want ads around here are a joke.
i'm surprised that truckers don't sick a LOT. bouncing from arctic temps up north to dessert heat down south.
it was 102 when i was broke down in calexico. i'd hate the see the heat wave now. montana was actually a perfect 75 last week.Last edited: Jun 27, 2011

At the Tyson plant in Rogers, Ar. Man but this place has it going on. Lounge area with snack machines and big screen tv, real bathrooms and not porta potties, shower facilities, and even free wifi!!!! Wish all meat plants were like this!!! Now if they only provided some "entertainment".

Anybody got any hidey holes in Grand Rapid, MI? With the way things are going at the moment (GRRRRRRRR), and with 2 drops, scheduled 9 hrs apart.... pretty sure I'm going to bust my 14. Nearest trk stop is 20 to 25 miles away.
