well. we gots new number. and now we're 48 states.

 

This has been a crappy couple of weeks. I hate the end of the quarter.
I got home for one day 2 weeks ago. Then not at all last weekend. I am use to having restarts every weekend. So running recap for 2 weeks is not fun at all.
I will be at my parents for 3 days over the holiday weekend though. So that will be a welcome break.

One thing to remember is that they have to go thru the new entrant screening process. So they will have a full audit in the next 8 months.
If everything is not in order they will be screwed. Especially if the DOT thinks that they changed numbers to get away from an old safety rating.
Crap is going to hit the fan over that with ALLOT of company's in the next year. Since many are doing just that. And the DOT is starting to really look for it.

Had forgot why I hate job hopping. Its filling out those ###### applications. Some are esy and some ain't. Have had 1 of each today.

 

Was wondering what happened to you CD. Hadn't seen you on any threads for awhile. Got any hidey holes in Grand Rapid I can use tomorrow?

 

like i said, i don't expect the company to last.

submitted finance for an 06 FL yesterday. 700k miles. supposedly all used comes with 120 day inspections. looked pretty good so far but will wait for approval to do the thorough exam myself. he's trying to push me into a 01 FL with 1.2mill. i told him no thanks. i already drive a 94 with 1.3mill and it's ready for retirement. i want something that will at least last till it's paid for and i can accumulate into something newer.

glad to see your still alive CD. was starting to wonder if we all needed to start looking for you in a ditch somewhere.

 

now that they are 48 states i hope they don't do like arrow did and fold up and strand everybody thousands of miles away from home. would not be a bad idea to keep some funds stashed back in case you need an emergency bus ticket back home/

 

not in Grand rapids, but in Holland there is a huge truckstop called tulip city, great resteraunt there

 

FYI if anyone is intersted my company is hiring, real good company, real laid back more miles than I can run, they seem to have it all together, good well maintained equipment too (trailers can be a crapshoot though)

Well, got a job if I want it. 50 trk outfit with 65 tlrs. Couple of things about it bug me tho. Its basically an out and back company and would have to get a Wells Fargo account since they hand carry and deposit the paychecks. Also loads coming back are brokered so they very seldom had detention or layover pay.

Lots of good things about them to. No QC, company issued phones, etc. Looked at my app and said I'll take you now if there are no other problems you haven't disclosed on your MVR or DAC. Really nice guy who also said he wouldn't talk to my present company till I gave my notice JIC. Decisions, decisions.
