every day i hear o/o's try todiscourage me from buying my own truck. becuase they aren't making any money and are going broke.
well, hell, it doesn't take 48 hours to drive 480 miles.
10 loads. i'm the last truck to leave. i make delivery first thing next morning.
the other 9. they aren't coming till tomorrow.
same thing when i hauled railroad nats to north dakota. 50 trucks in front of me. i make delivery. DH 300 miles back to pick up next load to which i had to camp out for the night cuz i didn't make it in time. pick up my load next day and back the same path. those other 49 trucks were still heading up to north dakota.
yep, i'd be going broke too.

if you ever haul oversized rebar and the traffic light turns red. just run the darn thing. my load is literally sitting 2 inches frorm the cab. and i check the chains everytime i get out to get the blood circulating. those chains weren't going any tighter.
gess we won't be hauling signs anymore. the last driver dropped the ball and had the crane waiting for him all day before he showed up the next day at quitting time. yesco wants nothing to do with us anymore. -
aww that sucks!! Couldn't another driver repower it??
-
-
we don't repower loads. we only have 11 trucks. and pretty much all our loads are delivered in 3's. although i have yet to see any other trucks. and we all have loads to be delivered every morning. and being the weekend. everyone is at home or on there way for delivery.
he was the only driver with that load. but he left too late. and he drives LEGAL. -
oh ok then he needs a talking to he should have left earlier!
We delivered in Walnut CA this morning and pick-up later at City Of Industry going up to Portland!
