sorry had to run by the company and to our truck to get the tire size for the drives. i will give you a call tomarrow. i will now explain what happened and why i had to leave.


ok i got the injection this morning and am already feeling much better. the doctor told me i needed to do a test drive to see if i can operate the truck safely with little to no pain if i can do this she will release me to full duty.

now in order to do this my safety director told me that i would have to get the doctor to put the test drive in writing from a liability stand point. next came the call to the state workmans comp adjuster for a status and i told him the same thing but the problem is trying to get past the receptionist and the nurse who seems to take a long time getting back to you. so he calld the doctors office and explained to them that he as well as the state want to get him back to driving asap. then the adjuster call my safety director and they agreed that there wouldnt be any liability from the state if he would allow the test drive before the doctors memo so at 8:30 am i will be taking the test drive and then driving to the doctors office and waiting to get the release even if it takes me all day. so wish me luck.

the reason i had to go is so we could go and see the night dispatch to see where our truck is and when it will return to the yard unfortunately they sent it to walnut Ca then to woodburn oregon so if i get cleared our truck will not be back probably until sunday or monday. wow what a big post. well i am missing driving these past almost 9 weeks come saturday have really sucked. in the beginning it looked like it would be a very long time before i would be back to driving if at all with a long road to recovery. i really like driving big trucks and was sad every time i seen one pass on the interstate wondering if id ever de able to drive again now it looks like i will be able to especially since we had bought our own and it was looking like our dream might not come true and i would have hated it if it would have happened. i guess i have diesel running thru my veins and the open road in my heart. i guess thats why i need to keep driving because i absolutely love it and dont mind being gone from home for long periods. thats why i really love jess juju because we really love trucking and the trucking lifestyle. we love the open road and hate Cali. and have a lot of fond memories like jess teaching some mexican drivers up on the siskous to chain up a truck and she doesnt even drive or have a CDL yet. she is a lot more experienced in the driving aspects with the exception of actually driving the truck than most rookie drivers and when she finally drives she will be alot better prepared when she does get her CDL and she has done a little driving i think she has a total of 2 miles driving under her belt. all joking a side she is highly knowledgeable in the trucking industry from hos rules to fuel milage, load boards, maintance , log books, routing, trip planning hooking and unhooking trailers ETC. i guess you can say we really love what we do and thats trucking. I cant wait to drive wyo and nebraska in the summer running in our own truck thats not governed. JJ.

 

Naw don't normaly post as much the 1st was what wasgoing on with the health problem and the second was just something I had to get off my chest you know being cooped up in this trailer for so long and watching all the trucks go by is all. Jj.

 

Any one viewing this thread feel free to post we are like a family here and it doesn't matter if you are a driver or not here we talk about what we do out on the road and in our lives as well as pass along trucking info so we would love for y all to join in maybe ill open a bar when I retire and call it jjs place for trucker comlete with big rig parking but all is welcome.jj
