    That is not good man.
You really should just get it fixed now. If you do not and it goes on the road you will have allot more down time. Especially if it is a freeze plug. Since if that blows out totally you will loose all your water in less than a minute.
This will cause your engine to emergency shutdown, and that can happen at any time. Even while going down a mountain. And that would not be good.
Most fixes for things like that are quick and easy, and since you are on the road you can almost pick where you want it fixed.
Choose a shop not in a major trucking city. Then you normally will not have to wait nearly as long to get in a shop.

Well I did do a breakdown msg and was told to run it. Least I'm covered. Will try and get it looked at ASAP tho. Asked another driver about it and showed it to him and he said it was a drain plug. Hope he's right.
Am at my 1st drop now. 3rd time I've been here but 1st time at this time of night. Looks like I'm the 5th trk here. Never has been anyone else b4 and was able to just slide right in and out. Don't think thats going to happen this time. Oh well.

Normally when a water pump starts to go out you will see leaking from the weep hole on the pump itself. It does not leak much to start.
If it is a drain plug leaking that should just need to be pulled and new sealant applied. Hope that that is all it is.
Let me know if they send you this way. I will be around MI all day tomorrow. Last stop will be Battle Creek and I will be out of hours around that time. Will not get back hours to run till after midnight so I can run again Tuesday.
    But no pre plan yet.

See??? I didn't know about the weep hole till talking to the guy here at the TA. He said the very same thing so suspect I'm going to need a new water pump soon. Ended up busting this guys chops, in a good way. Went in for some extended life coolant and they were out. Asked if he knew what size bolt were on the ltr hinges and his response was "the ones we're out of". lol
Don't know what the deal is with this TA in De Forest, WI but it is in sad shape!!! No TP in half the toilets, no paper towels and blah blah. May be in need of a new manager here, eh.
Managed to get in and out of my 1st stop in VERY good time. Appt at 2000 and pulling out at 2030. The very best thing about it........had no body and pallet jack in back like the last time I was here. ROTFLMAO!!!!!

You will need new coolant when you get the water pump replaced anyway. They will not reuse it in case metal or fragments from gaskets get in it.
So use the green stuff. It is basically the same thing anyway, just a different additive package.
Am I going to have to put you in a truck with me for a few months, to teach you about trucks Pan?

I would be honored to be a student of yours!!! And I do mean that. Your so full of good advice, that I would feel much more comfortable out here.
Am at Kraft in Joliet and I have fallen madly in love. Really nice lady in rcving said that not only do they have a place I can take a 10 at BUT, I can also use their fax when the god of confuser temp control rears its ugly head. What a shame she's married. lol (Not that purty either but a really nice lady).
Got here almost an hr late and can't believe I'm being loaded. Another guy got here early and has been here almost 6 hrs now. He was having a cow when I walked in.
Now, my only question is, can I make Ft Worth by 0900 on the 22nd? Guess we'll see.
Oh yea, when I got this load assignment, I was 150 miles away in Jackson, WI. Appt time here was 1800, given the load at 1445 and had to fuel and get the tlr washed out. Think I did pretty darn good to get here by 1845 considering chi town traffic.

CD, your just going to luv this one. Was at the KW shop today and was informed that Cat would NOT pay for any guarantee work unless the pump was actually dripping and causing a puddle, that a little seepage was normal. Go figure.

Went slightly batty today and almost went totally around the bend. Was leaving OKC when all kinds of alarms started going off and telling me that the parking brake was engaged. It wasn't and was rolling freely. Guess a sensor went bad but I had to listen to that LOUD, stinking alarm, off and on, all the way to Ft Worth. Least it waited till I had finished my D&H and was heading to the shop. Then it went off continous and had to listen to it for # 20 mics..........straight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I am home!!!
Got in this morning at 0300.
I think I am going to talk to dispatch on Monday though and go back to home every weekend, or most weekends. I have not seen the jump in miles I should have with staying out. I normally get more miles my first 5 days out than the 7 days the second week.
