didn't take long to get my truck fixed. only $50 for parts and a software update for the ecm. but i'm still waiting to hear the final bill. they were done in 2 hours.

but check this out. they want to see me a new fan hub becuase it's leaking.

is it too much to ask to just fix my dang truck without being sold a whole new truck.

So are you back on the road? JJ is on the way to Ontario OR , he did a turn and burn up to Pasco WA and back.

Hope he is home at a reasonable time:biggrin_2556:

thats right and you dont hear about my #### breaking down all the time. after all these repairs you been paying for how much more are you actually pocketing than a co driver. probally not enough to validate all the headaches and lost revenue.:biggrin_25522:

since you know my finances. guess you would know better then me.

the reason o/o's go broke. is becuase they are replacing everything that shops tell them to replace. they end up with a brand new truck, peice by piece. if they survive.

heck, today's shop was even nice enough to change my fuel filters becuase there was a restriction. even THOUGH those filters were changed in ontario 4 days ago.

the first guy wanted a new wiring harness. the second guy wanted to do the turbo. the third that actually got the thing fixed. wants a new fan hub. 3 guys, 3 different parts for one problem.

i'm willing to bet i'm paying for something that was never changed becuase they were already changed.

the word NO stands very highly in my vocabulary. learned my lesson once.

but i have an advantage in that i am a RETIRED AUTO MECHANIC. i don't turn wrenches any more. but i've also learned that semi's take a big ARSE ######.

i arranged to be down for monday. so truck can get fixed and change shocks and get inspected. was hoping to have it all done today. and get loaded tuesday. shocks have bad bushings and no pressure. got a family thing this weekend so i'll only be doing one trip this week.

I think its hard to tell when someone is JK when its in a text form a smiley face or tongue out is usually a good indication!:biggrin_25522:

JJ is heading back to Pasco tonight, apparently the 0430 ld that delivers in Walnut is only for the Teams :biggrin_25513: hoping now that he has given his notice they don't give him all the crap loads or he can say sorry I won't be finishing the two weeks because the Pasco WA load sucks!

back on the road. truck iisn't fixed. but she has a clean safety sticker.

delivering to bakersfield. hopefully the truck makes it back home.

changed the transmission fluid also. apparently the fluid was original and all black. transmission shifts so much nicer now.

Yea, My truck is getting up there in miles to now. Less than 80k till they will sell it.
But all the emmission crap is fixed now. No issues at all in weeks. Got an A svc yesterday while on break at terminal.
Actually made it to MO. Have not been here in months. But almost got screwed trying to get back east. Fixed it though. They are having me pick up a load after I deliver in the morning, and swapping that one with a western driver. So I can head back east.
Have to make sure I am home for the weekend.

30 minutes left on my 70 and have over 3600 miles. Had to work for every dang one of them too, with the problems this week, that I've had. Start recapping tonight, but suspect I'll get a reset in tomorrow, once I get back to Omaha again.
