If all you are going to do is read then the Kindle is fine. But if you want apps, movies, reading, etc, then the iPad is the only way. Just takes a little making sure you have everything set-up for printing and scanning. From sitting in the left seat prospective, an iPad for logs and other stuff is much easier than a computer. Much faster and I have an SSD so my boot-up is fast. But not tablet fast.

No it was pointing out a FACT that regardless if the $ of fuel went down or not , a smart operator watchs his / her fuel useage as jess-juju indicated they were doing , 1 truck or 1,000 trucks every $0.01 Counts.

Its true you can't watch a nickle or a dime you have to watch every penny!
Its not just on fuel its applies to every purchase you make. Like tires, parts, ins every penny you can save is profit to you. I know there is some things you can't cut corners on, but there is a lot of things you can do to save money.

In regards to the fuel consumption issue- I try to keep an eye on it even as a 'civilian' since it can also be an indicator of troubles with your vehicle. Just makes good sense to me-
