has anyone called 911 yet to see where they are?
or do they just feel like not talking to us anymore. -
I know 1bad talked to JJ earlier tonight. Didn't ask where they are when he got off the phone. But they talked for a little while. So they are alive and well. I know they had been having a hard time with their air card (really poor connections) I'm sure they will check in as soon as they can.
Panhandle flash and alex94 Thank this. -
Thanks Widow, I was getting concerned also. But I did not want to voice it here.

Air cards. Supposed to be the greatest thing since sliced bread. Haven't been able to watch a video this time out. Wonder if there all getting overloaded with all these new fangled phones and there wireless capability.
Thanks Widow for letting us know. Like CD, was getting kind of worried. -
What kinda card do you have...Which service. Looking to go ATT. They all seem to be about $60/month for about 5 gig. Is that big enough?
-
Do NOT go with ATT. I had them at 1st and in so many areas I went to, they either had no svc, or you were in roaming, or it was sloooooooooow!!! I have Verizon now and am much, much happier with them. Twice I've had no svc and only a couple of times in roaming. They do have their slow spots tho.
5 gig. Depends on what you want to do with it. email and surfing the web? Sure. Watching movies or videos? Depends on how much you watch. On line gaming? Understand that will really eat it up. -
Am picking up in Columbia City, IN with a load going to Ft Worth. Gonna be real close as to whether I can make it. With my PTI and loaded call, I'll only have 4.75 hrs for tomorrow. Next day with PTI and fuel, the same. Day after that, I'll get 11 back and am suppose to deliever at noon on the 15th. Guess we'll see.
-
Thanks for the info. Yes, you will have to be creative and judicious in your hours to make that. Only looking to check e-mail, blog on here and occasionally send/receive bigger files. I was thinking.....DANGER....that there are numerous free hotspots and if I use those when able that should gap the difference.
The other question is aircard or netbook. It is only 40 bucks for netbook and the wireless in built in. Does that impact connection speed. Realize I go back to the 300 baud modems, (yes...Commodore 64) so speed is relative...as is time. -
sprint has included internet with there service plans. sprint also has 4g service while the other carriers are still fiddling around with 3g. if i have a really good signal. my pc will connect at 9 megs. if i have a poor signal it goes down to 2megs. the best i can get with 3g is only 1 meg if i'm lucky. and even if i have a poor signal. my pc still surfs at a fairly decent speed.
my phone handles email. gets me on the internet. surfs the web really GREAT for a 4.3 inch screen. just as good as a pc.
i also have mobile wifi. it will connect 8 devices wireless to the internet using my phone.
and did i mention. the internet is included with my service.
i wont pay $60 for 5gigs of internet. when i can get unlimited internet, gps, email, text, pics, and unlimited mobile to mobile any carrier for $80.
say what you want. but i'm proud to have sprint for 10 years now. and when i don't have signal. no big deal. cuz the company phone through verizon don't have signal either.
and if i want full fledged gps that don't require the internet. i already have the program installed on my phone. for $30. works just like tomtom.
