Actually, games like call of duty or an MMO like world of warcraft hardly eat any up. You could play a couple hours a day and still be under after a month. I think web based games will eat up more then a real game. Movies and videos forget about it. I checked a live stream yesterday. Wanted to watch the jets game.... it was eating about 1mb per second.

 

Netbooks will have the same speed as a aircard. In actuality they are pretty fast. I would say almost cable modem fast. They are definately faster then dial up. The only downside to a netbook is thats all it really is... a websurfer. I much prefer my laptop and mifi card.

 

netbooks can do anything a notebook does. although i wouldn't try to play hard core games with it. the only downfall is no cd/dvd rom drive.

i had the second generation that came out. 8.9 inch screen. before they were equipped with wifi. they aren't meant for us old people with aging vision. my only complaint though would be the small keyboard it had.

mine never got used as much as i thought it would so i sold it.

 

Sitting behind a Petsmart in Salem MA on my first stop. They should get here at 0400.
My GPS got a bug today so I did not have it on the way here. Not really an issue till I got into town, I have never been here though and it would have helped allot.
My directions sucked and I found the store with luck.
I am trying to restore it now, but with old files, so may not work.
I have gotten way too use to looking at this thing, even when I know where I am going. I have had one on my dash for over 3 years now. I became Dependant, even when I know where I am going.

 

I am a retired Naval Flight Officer (Navigator). Was replaced in part by GPS. She is much faster, but just a tool. Even I get dependent (aka lazy) and get burnt by misdirection. Does not help that I am cheep and she doesn't know I am a truck. Actually that might be a plus because I think she is wrong unless I verify.

 

Getting rdy for my final push to Ft Worth. Trk stop I was shooting for is closed. *sighs* Really ought to buy me a new trk stop book 1 of these days. Cop was nice enough to tell me about 1 1.5 miles down the road so went there. Bummer tho, it closes at night so no toidy break and even worse......no coffee!!!!

 

Funny story for ya'll. Walked into the pilot at Caddo Mills, tx this morning for coffee and a biscuit. Pony tail was over my right shoulder. Check out girl told me that she thought I had some kind of critter on my shoulder. Was relieved that it was just hair.

 

Musta been coming from west. That west bound exit is closed. Sure wish they'd advertise that prior to previous exit. Oh shucks there I go again.

Better take my meds and go to beds.

 

one hell of a week for me this week after being gone from central ref since feb they send me a bill stating i owe them 475 and some change. the bill actually come from partners finanical thats their co;;ection agency. so i call and ask what its for was told quallcom rental and prepass. hum... let me see here i was a co driver and did not have to pay for these i told them they said the policy has changed and i owed it. well i said send me something with my signiture agreeing to the changes and ill pay up . looks like they aint getting nothing out of me cause i never signed anything like that. then on thurs i was traveling on s.c. 122 in greenwood s.c. looking for a road on my left to turn down was going to a new shipper and had never been on this road before. when all the sudden i see the blue lights. officer comes to the door and says i was doing 45 to 50 mph in a 55 mph zone . i said i know i was trying to find old brickhouse rd. on the left well he took my info and went to his car and came back with a nice ticket for driving to slow and it comes with a 155 dollar fine. i tell ya these states are going broke and are writing tickets for anything to generate revenue. well its gonna be fun fighting this one. think i might ask for a jury trial.
