Fight it and hopefully the judge will take consideration that you were lost and needed to go slow enough so you knew which street was which.

Sounds to me like a cop looking for a ticket to give.
He would have gotten him for something no matter what.
On the Central thing, it looks like someone screwed up and it trying to cover there ###.
Most likely they took a bunch of company money, now they want to find money to replace it with.
Do they think all drivers are stupid?

 

*sighs* Got to the shipper and found out my load had been cancelled. Am now going to Amarillo instead. Not only have I lost 500 paid miles but will have to sit on the load till Monday. Very unhappy at the moment.

Look at this way; you get an easy run with lots of time on it. If you get to Amarillo before its delivered you could pull a 34 and have your hours reset. Just a positive though to a negative situation.

greetings from the wonderful world of walmart. Sitting at the DC waiting for a load, was supposed to get a load with 7 stops plus a backhaul on it, but it got canceled and as of right now don't have another load yet. Oh well I need the rest.

Got to my last store last night ( a 5 stop trip) with a half hour left on my 14. Then took my break and deadheaded back up to the DC, still have 7 hours and some change left on my 14, so maybe I can get a quick 2 stopper that I can do in about 5 hours, anything is possible

1bad I'd fight that ticket too. Remember the speed limit is The fastest you are permited to go, you can always go slower.

About a week ago I got a $48 parking ticket. I got it because of a REALLY crappy marked detour, I was on US27 in Ohio and got to the town of oxford, there was a sign that said road closed ahead all trucks must detour. Then at the first intersection it said Spring street detour left, so I turned left. Yeah bad idea, took me through a residential street, with nowhere to stop or turn around do to cars parked on the curb. Then I saw no more signs, next thing I know the road turns into a real NARROW 2 lane in the country. So I stop. I call the police for help, he comes out and says good thing I called, if I had of kept going there is a 5 ton bridge 2 miles ahead. So he says that he could give me a ticket for being on a non-truck route, or a parking ticket, the first being $600. SO I says I'll take the parking ticket. So he leads me back to us27 and all is good

 

there should be a violation code on it. you can research it for that state.

i got a no tarp ticket once. i googled the code and found provisions that made me exempt. ticket was dismissed.

i recently got an overweight ticket. did my own research and it was also dismissed.

you'd be surprised how little cops know about there own laws.

you should also be keeping an eye on your credit report. youi'd be amazed at the laws that are being broken in an effort to screw up your life. the govt needs to crackdown on collection agencies. you have the right to fight for your credit rating. and it's not that hard.

i left my truck schooling before i was even finished with my over the road trainer. they put a collection account on my credit and i disputed it 6 months later. it was erased. central has so many people floating through there company they won't even bother checking the validity of there own collections. if they don't respond back in 30 days. it gets erased from your credit.

your entitled to one free credit report a year. and there are tons of sights that charge $15 a month so that you can see your credit report every month.

 

you working out of the washington courthouse dc? that sucks a $ 48 ticket for folling the road signs. i tell yall theses states are going broke and they are doing anything they can to generate revenue. and truck drivers are easy prey cause of the fact we dont stay in any one area long and chances of us coming back to fight the ticket are slim.

I am sitting in Delaware waiting for my reload. Is not till 0330 tomorrow though. And it has to run straight to delivery location. No stops.

But I have a start too the week. I did not sit all weekend, and I did not use so many hours as to make it so I have to wait all day Tuesday to get some back. I actually need to run my recap today or tomorrow and see where I am. I had a couple 11-12 hour days early last week.
